  • Doesn’t that all sound delicious…! Several months ago, I demonstrated how to create your own ‘forever lasting’ lemons on branches: • How to make artificial... I love them fresh, but as we all know, that are not keepers, especially the leaves that wither and drop without a care.
The original design displayed just the lemon and berries - in this case rosehip. Then I took the design to another level by adding yellow and oranges roses. Since this design was created, I’ve had many requests asking what else could be used along side them.
This got me thinking and here are some design tips that will take this design from just lemons and hips to another floral level!
    Things to gather:
And this is for my friends in Australia & South Africa - yellow banksia cones.
    Several stems of dogwood.
    Several stems of orange dahlias.

Zesty, citrusy, sunshiny, and gorgeous! Welcome back, Astar! I have missed your videos! This springy/summery creation was a much-needed lift! Thank you! You look great, and I hope you're having a wonderful later summer!

Thanks Jesse, this is the perfect colourway as we transition from summer into the Fall or as we call it here, autumn. If I'm tbh, I'm actually looking forward to another new season. This summer has been amazing, but everything botanical is slowly fading and drying off in my garden. I need the winds to come so that all leaves drop sooner rather than later. Plans are in hand for a bit of a garden revamp. Warm regards Astar

Hi Astar - I love your videos!! I am wondering if you will add yellow banksia cones to the Prestige Botanicals (PB) collection. I am a HUGE fan on PB and have purchased so many flowers and branches. I also adore protea's as I am originally from South Africa and it is hard to find them in the US. Thank you so much for being a great inspiration!

Hey Astar~ I love this! I’ve got to try doing your lemon and orange decoupage. Like all your decoupage projects, it is so fab! The design works so well with your vase. Thank you for sharing. Funny how something so bright - like lemons and oranges - works so well for so much of the year…. 🍋🍊

Oh…that is stunning! I’m assuming those are real because I believe You said you brought them in. Then, to my excitement, I see you have a video on how to recreate this with artificial items. Thank you❣️❣️❣️What a pleasant video this was. I really enjoyed it.
