In just 2 episodes, this show has everything we want and more. Badass Cyclops, good writing, excellent animation and so much more. Iam totally rooting for this show success. X-men has saved Marvel!

For one that period where he was like "we will protect mutants even if it means having to start a war with all of humanity" only really lasted through All-New All Different and it was a culmination of actions from certain people around him that really made him second guess the validity of Xavier's dream, especially the whole thing about Charles hiding the fact that his secret third brother was on an X-Men team that were all killed on Krakoa during the original events of Giant-Size #1 when they had to rescue the first-gen X-Men. How he handled Hope Summers is definitely something more morally grey and Schism definitely showed that his beliefs on how to preserve the mutant race were highly flawed, but especially with this whole Orchis thing I don't necessarily believe he's entirely in the wrong anymore compared to the alternative

The Morph and Sinister part at 0:57 is so cool to me. Especially Sinister’s creepy laugh and the way Morph who is always joking looks genuinely scared. Can’t wait to see if that dynamic is explored in upcoming episodes.

I had to refresh myself, and am kind of tempted to watch for that alone, though it's definitely lower priority, since I've long since moved to DC entirely. I do remember binging this fully in college, I watched it sporadically as a kid because we didn't get cable until I was a bit older or I just didn't know where to watch it

I thought they couldn't top perfection but the addition of Bishop, Morph and that beautiful scene of Mr Sinister taunting him was just beautiful.
I love the addition of Sinister’s laugh when taunting Morph. Chef’s kiss.
One thing that I am loving about this show is it really feels like for the first time in a long time fans are pretty unanimous about their love for something marvel has put out. And this isn’t me trying to actually start anything I love it. Honestly I miss the interaction between fans and how it used to be. It feels like most MCU fans are kind of split with what they like and don’t like even more
Right? So often now I don't even want to bring up the ones I like because I don't know if I'm gonna set someone off on a nitpicky rant
I think that one of the main reasons I love this show is that FINALLY we get some form of noncomic XMen media that doesn’t completely focus on Wolverine/ Charles Xavier/ Magneto, we actually get focus on each X Man and they have some sort of character. Don’t get me wrong, I indeed do love Wolverine, but watching him take up all the screentime, for 17 years, is exhausting. This series is great for MANY other reasons, but this is my main reason.

@@patriciovega3035 Chris Claremont said decades ago he regrets ever giving her a Mohawk because so many people have abused it in the decades after when it doesn’t fit. More importantly, she should have had her normal hair the first two episodes and then transitioned to the Mohawk after she lost her powers, which is the same as what happened in the comics.
It’s so close to the original that I feel compelled to watch it. This brought back so many memories of when I was a kid.

From what I gather they deliberately tried to make it look like VHS quality.
Aside from that, the writing was fckng superb. It really feels like the old X-Men especially when Magneto speaks in riddles.

It’s so cool how they finally put Morph in the intro instead of just ignoring him entirely. Also, it feels good to have that theme song back. It just so catchy! 😝🤟
He was only in a handful of episodes in the og series.

I remember my dad recording the original cartoon every Saturday or Sunday on his VCR. This brings back so many memories. I’m glad they kept the original theme music
My sister did the same, recorded both Phoenix sagas in one tape cutting all commercials through one loop and felt like we watched a whole movie.
To not have kept the theme would have been a crime against Marvel equal to the Origins: Wolverine depiction of Deadpool.
One of Kevin Feige's requirements to make this show is they HAD to keep the original theme. It's BEAUTIFUL.

Disney Plus - this your least used "SKIP INTRO" use I am sure! There should be a "Put intro on repeat" option for this show!!
I was going to watch the first episode by myself, but as I was about to, it just felt wrong. I instantly stopped, went downstairs to my dad so we could watch it together. I grabbed one of my mom's Storm figures as well, so it would be like she was watching with us too. Many Saturdays in my childhood were of me, my parents and my brother watching this show. Watching it alone was just not acceptable. Since that time, my mother has passed on and my brother now lives hours away, but there had to be some reminder of those family times as I watched this new series.
Now this make Professor X do the standing Ovation!
Yes and make him get up out of his chair and do the 60's Adam West Batman dance!
After a year with Lilandra, the Starjammers and Sikorsky, I bet he CAN do a standing ovation.
You should change the skip intro functionality for this series where if someone hits the button it just repeats and gets louder and louder.

Just when I thought they couldn't improve such a perfect opening they absolutely blow me away with this updated intro with even more vibrant visuals and animation of the original opening and include so many cool things. Like the inclusion of characters like Morph, Bishop and now Magneto. Not to mention I also love the addition of that small glimpse into Morph's PTSD from being manipulated and tormented by Mr Sinister
I can't wait to see Iceman get his spot in the intro. Or to see a version with more villainous characters, or a team B with almost all different characters for an episode or two. 💚

This and magnetos theme is just perfection. I still get chills in episode three of the original series when he attempts to free beast to no avail. "The humans must be crushed.. and *I* have the power to do it.." *magneto theme intensifies*

Watching the first two episodes is real thrill ride. And the music hits like a nostalgic blockbuster. No intro like this should not be skipped as it’s the true gem of a national anthem for all XMEN fans
Welp... They did NOT drop the ball on this one, huh? Intro rocks as hard, as it did all those years ago and the show is actually a good continuation. As someone, who grew-up watching the original, I can proudly say: Those are "my" X-Men!

Picking background characters from random comics when in a hurry was one of their mistakes every now and then. The studio that animated the final episodes had Moondragon at Genosha for the finale. 😁

The intro really blew my mind, it's almost like I went back in time, also I'm hyped that they brought Bishop and Morph into the roster, this is one of the revivals done right, I'm also glad they brought back most of the original voices that were involved in the original show!
Im more critical of the show than most but I absolutely love Sinister and Morphs part in this.
A timeless classic recreated and updated. Iconic theme.
This is the most I've enjoyed a Marvel show since Agents of Shield. Probably one of the best things to come out of Disney+. I felt the same way I did when I was watching Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Bring that one back next, Marvel!

I expected this show to be just a nostalgia dump, but it is so much more. It does have the nostalgia to it, I mean, its a sequel right, but they are doing things right for now. Hell, enen the bad episodes came back (I hated Mojo even as a kid), but the good ones are VERY good. And ep5 blew my mind... if they keep up this is gonna draw a new line for good shows. hopefully it'll keep good

The only opportunity the reviving of the series missed was releasing the episodes on Saturday morning, that would have really been the ultimate cherry on top!

@@duckhawkninja3614 EST. They release it on Wednesday nights at 3am my time. They could’ve released on a Saturday morning regardless of time zone. 7am EST people in other time zones could still watch when they get up on Saturday.
