- The Next Generation theme has been my most requested track so far, so here it is! With a couple of bonus tracks thrown in to make it interesting!
I have many a fond memory watching TNG while growing up, and First Contact is still my favourite Trek movie.
I wasn't able to find any covers, at all, of Red Alert (The Battle of Sector 001), and this is also the first piece I have ever used an acoustic with!

The Battle of sector 001 and the old klingon theme are fucking amazing as metal. Holy crap.

I know this post is a couple years old...ever try doing The Wrath of Khan? James Horner was lit with that soundtrack.
The Lower Decks soundtrack has some Klingon death metal as a bonus track.

The Klingon theme is the most metal of all. The Klingon battle from the motion picture probably deserves a metal cover of its own.
It's been requested before, so I shall try to make it happen! :)
And BTW, all it lacks is you puting a Klingon prosthetics forehead and it'll won't even look out of place...

First Contact's main theme for me is by far the most powerful, and gets me emotional I have to admit. I loved that you included it in this cover, and without overdoing it! Excellent job all in all here!
To this day First Contact is still my favourite Trek film, and the theme is so damn memorable! I still get a little choked up when I play this one, just cos it means a lot to me. I'm glad you liked it, my dude!

I had started to wonder if we'd get to hear the absolute glory which is Jerry (and Joel) Goldsmith's 'First Contact' intro title, but then at 4:15, there it is. And it's *absolutely awesome*. Such an underrated film and soundtrack.

"Mr. Data! The Borg is approaching at warp 7.6, we're in maximum red alert, and you left the deck with Mr. Worf and Mr. LaForge without permission, I demand an explanatio… (covering ears and screaming) What in the devil is this noise Mr. Data???!!!"
- Data, Geordi and Worf playing the metal opening. Turning down their guitars, then to Picard -
Lt. Cmd. Worf:
"Captain, none of our actual weapons and defenses are effective to withstand an offensive against the Borg!"
Lt. Cmd. LaForge:
"However, the computer detected a fluctuation of 1.62% every five seconds in their alpha shield when passing Ragnarok IV, sector .41 mark 325. By comparing the high level of frequencies emanating from the nebula and cross-referenced them with all existing and registered sound waves from our databases…"
Lt. Cmd. Data:
"We identified that only one genre of music referred from the 20th century as to Metal music was capable to reproduce similar sound waves."
Cpt. Picard (promptly):
"Gentlemen, to the point."
Lt. Cmd. Data (while noodling around):
"Sir, we theorized that if we were capable to reproduce a higher level of distortion, harmony and powerfulness by playing and amplifying it to a level that everyone in the ship and in the vicinity will be able to do what they called in the jargon "headbang hard enough" for the next 6 minutes 38, we will be apt to neutralize their shield and deflect the Borg until our next encounter."
Lt. Cmd. Laforge:
"We also theorized, from your experience, that their lack of understanding in human emotions and values will make our music so irrelevant to them that it will be off their charts to give us a chance to do not be assimilable at all."
Lt. Cmd. Worf (insisting):
"Captain, this is inestimable against the Borg!"
Cpt. Picard (sighing):
"Gentlemen, I am afraid we have no other choice… humpf… make it so."
Data, Geordi and Worf (with horns up):
"Aye, Sir!"
