Omg yes I can relate, I’m Hispanic and have worked in the medical field and have came across Pts that remind me of my own family, non speaking English, ill old, it breaks my heart. Idk there’s more of a bond ... I know it’s like that with every PT but it hits dif when it reminds you of your own family.

Im the same with African American patients and family coz they remind me of my family. But im fluent in spanish so my non english speaking latino patients love when i speak spanish with them and are proud of me for learninh

Hey Karla! I am also applying to Chamberlain University. I was wondering if they allow you to use an apple watch during clinical etc. I know that some schools won't allow you to and that you have to use an old fashioned one. I was planning to purchase one for when I start :)

I think that’s great! We need more male nurses 🙏🏽 I would recommend for you to start looking at nursing programs and check their requirements, and go from there 😊
How do you like Chamberlain? I’m thinking about going to the Addison program. My community college has a really good ADN program but I really want to get my BSN.
Deya Valle I love it!! They have a great program and also provide students with many resources to be successful.
Do ADN first if you can then RN to BSN. You will save thousands.
Ya get ur BSN. LOTS of hospital will not hire you without a BSN. Im doing University of Phoenix online

Any advice for starting clinicals as a nursing student in nursing school?
Just be confident. Its always scary starting clinicals coz you never know how receptive the staff will be of you. But when you start you will see its not that bad
