- It’s here! My bag reveal for what I purchased when I was in Japan, going to all the various luxury shops. I had a blast getting to see some of my dream bags in person and it was definitely a tough decision to narrow the choices down to my pick! There was a hiccup where I actually couldn’t get another of the bags I planned to and I give more details in the video. Overall it was a great time though 😊 What do you think of my pick?

Love your bag! I am also a fan of vintage luxury and have bought from Japanese resellers. RE: Customs-I’ve always tried to be honest with the customs form and have never had to pay. I think the big things they go for are perfumes and tobacco.

oh thanks for teaching me about the "made in france" signifying post 70s era bags! I had no idea! I just checked my vintage Hermes Sac Sandrine and she doesnt have the made in france so shes definately very old. They the re-released Sac Sandrine it in the 80s but mine is the super super old original model

I believe it's the passenger's job to declare the items they are importing. If the customs officials search your luggage and then find undeclared items, you would get a fee for not declaring plus paying the taxes. I'm not a US citizen so I'm not 100% sure but that's the impression the customs tv shows give... So if anyone buys expensive items outside of your tax area (continent/country), you should declare the items on the border and then pay the taxes if the officials tell you to. It's like driving over the speed limit. It's illegal no matter if the police sees it or not.
This is correct. We have an opportunity to declare when we enter the US. And you should declare. Getting busted isn’t worth it because they could confiscate the item as well.
I just flew back from over seas. Sometimes there is literally no one to whom you can declare. For example, my family members flew back and arrived early to LAX and passed through the Global Entry line. No officers were there. I flew back through SFO and there was only one officer at the Global Entry line. He asked a few questions about the value of the items and waived my sister and I through (value of items about $5k). So if there is someone there, yes, be honest and declare, but sometimes it’s just not even relevant (if you get lucky).
