    I’ve been watching for a while and what I have concluded is that based on your advise I’ll never remember all I need to not to blow an interview and although I need to start a search I have no confidence I’ll ever get an offer because I’m now overwhelmed with details of how I’ll blow it.

    After my interview which was Friday, June 23rd, I asked questions as well and as we were walking out of the building the interviewer says “we will talk to you soon”…I haven’t called yet…but hopefully I will hear something this week or get an email

    What should I do in this case? I have completed two rounds of an interview and received a message stating that I have passed the interview. The HR department was supposed to contact me regarding the salary and job offer within 7 days. However, it has been almost 10 days, and I haven't heard back from them yet. Should I contact them myself, or wait a few more days?

    I had a screening interview last Friday. The interviewer offered the following information before I had a chance to ask: "I pass this on to the hiring manager and it takes about a week for next steps, which would be a virtual interview and a personality test." It's the next Friday now, and I still haven't heard back. Do I make the exception and contact them today? Or do I still wait til next Tuesday? I want to leave them alone, but I don't want to miss their decision-making window!

    She said I'm supposed to know by next Friday, should I still do anything or just wait? The waiting is killing me. I really want to know, I want to know if I need to keep looking or if there's light at the end of the tunnel. I'm long past ready to leave my current job.

    Forgot to mention. They asked me if I was available for a second interview the next day. I said I was available and they seemed to be okay with it. I took a written test and I couldn't answer some of the questions. I hope not able to answer all the questions makes the candidate look bad.

    Hey Don! First of all I want to tell you how much I love your content, I’ve learned A LOT from it so far! I just interviewed for a Sales/Project management position yesterday (Tuesday). They talked and showed me the facility around for over an hour, in my opinion the interview went very well. At the end the President of the company said that they’ve interviewed 4 other candidates and that now they’ll be making some tough decisions and either way good or bad that I’d be hearing from him soon. What would you say my next step/questions should be and when? Thank you in advance!

    Good video. Question: Made it past the hiring manager followed by the panel interview with the larger team. At the end of the panel interview the hiring manager said that he would follow up with next steps. Should I follow up or let it ride? I'm thinking let it ride given the hiring manager's comment. Good sign, right?

Said, she call me anytime when She got the mail or notification that tells the documents process is done and probably 2-3 wks. Then she said I have to prepare the prescribed uniforms. Need your advice, thank u and more power on your excellent video.

    Interview was last Friday, said they’d finish up interviews the following Monday (two days ago) and that they “tend not to dilly dally”. Nothing so far.
    What would be the optimum time to call, in your opinion? It’s a small organization with very little bureaucracy. I’m mindful of contacting them before they make a decision versus doing it too soon.

    What if it’s been over two weeks, no contact. They said they would call you. I called them. It’s still pending. I’ve asked lots of people in business as well as managers and gms. They said this is unprofessional, and it’s ghosting. Move on they aren’t interested

      Don Georgevich I called them. They said the hiring process can take months. They personally told me they were short staffed, hurting for help, mandatory overtime on burned out employees. My gm currently said 15 days no contact after they promised to call is too extreme. Got several gms opinions all agreed

    Hi Don, do you think the word “follow-up”should be replaced by the words “follow up”? With hyphenation, the word “follow-up” is a noun while without hyphenation, “follow” is a verb.

    • @DonGeorgevich
      @DonGeorgevich  4 года назад +8

      I'm not a career advisor. I'm an interview coach, and one of the best if I do say so myself. And what does having a BA have to do with helping people get hired for jobs, or anything for that matter? I've known some people with PhD's and masters who could not get a job. All they were qualified to do is teach other people what they know, so they can get a job, though never having had a job themselves. so what are you really concerned about?

      @@DonGeorgevich I actually watched your videos on youtube and liked them ! i even took you for reference coach whenever i had an interview for a job. • @DonGeorgevich
      @DonGeorgevich  4 года назад +4

      so glad you liked my videos. I share that I don't have my BA to show that it's not as important as you may have been led to believe. I also may be a little sensitive when challenged on this topic. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge supporter of higher education and wish I could have completed mine. But for various reasons, many people don't start or even finish theirs and not having it is not a death sentence in the job market. whether they watched my videos or not, it's hard to say what kind of help they need. I think the ones with advanced degrees that don't get jobs are in the minority.
