You so nailed it about Billy. When he rationalized basically abandoning his daughter, it’s so deplorable. Got to wonder what it says about Wendy who seems to just nod at this and then they knock boots. Wendy, who’s a social worker who works with homeless people, would probably have said, WTF dude? Then all his friends send him off knowing he’s traveling away from his daughter and thinking, “What a great guy, gonna miss him.” You’d think at least most of them might nudge the guy to take care of his responsibilities.

Wow, what a great video. You gave so much depth to the characters and plot. I especially like how thorough your analysis of The Brat Pack was, it was cool to see what articles you digged up on them. Also, your narration and especially the editing of the video is top-notch!

As a young person in the 80's, Leslie was more representative of most of our moms than an icon of independence.
Mom's had careers in the 80s. AND raised a family. That's why we are the generation or feral latch key kids who were cooking for ourselves by age 9.
Jules felt a more accurate representation of the rebellion of out of control 80's kids.
This was a fun trip down memory lane though. I subscribed.

Because I wasn’t even a thought during the 80s lol, I wasn’t sure how much Leslie represented women at that time. This was a good comment to see to get a better perspective on her character. Thanks!

Your video really opened my eyes to the hindrance of the Brat Pack label. Growing up, my mom got me into these 80s movies and I always thought they were icons of their era because of this label. I never realized how negatively this label affected their careers. I always thought it was just they weren't getting the same roles as time went on. Very detailed, amazing video as usual! Your voice is so calming and love your opinions.

Thank you! It’s so wild that we remember the group fondly but for them, it’s probably something they wanted to forget for a long time.

Just watched the Brats documentary and have to say I got so much more from your video than that full length film. Great job on your research and commentary for the video! I really enjoyed watching.

I’ve expanded my horizons by watching 80s movies such as The Outsiders, The Goonies & Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

lol! I love this movie! Funnily enough.. when you date a Cuban man.. even if he’s a modern Cuban man.. they’re about the same mentality of the 80’s yuppy male.. they want marriage and kids.. mine did the same.. he will say no when I say yes kind of thing.. he wants cooking at home with kids.. he isn’t going for a political career.. he’s going for a high powered medical career.. all of his exploits exploited me..continue to do so.. exploit my relationship.. do crazy shit to shove wedges between him and I.. as if he hasn’t already done so.. that’s his logic though..
