I met Rob Lowe in 1990. My first thought was, "Wow...what's wrong with the cameras?!?" This, because he was even better-looking in person than he was on film. My second thought was to silently beg my mother not to embarrass me...which she totally did. He was very nice. He gave me an autograph, which I kept until I lost it in a fire years later.
Man I miss the 80's, I almost want to create to a video the psychological profile of these one hit wonder movie stars, they had crazy lives. Interesting stuff.
Someone should create a fictional, 1980s set, movie/story with all the brat packers in it. Just an idea: boy wants girl who is fan of their movies, so, to impress her, he makes a quest to get autographed polaroids of all of them in one crazy night in Los Angeles. Could be shaded as a comedy, drama, adventure, romantic, spiritual, etc. Ahhh...the music itself would make it worth seeing. Ram pack that movie with every piece of 80s nostalgia. Someone...do something like this, please.
As a total 80's girl, I still adore all of those John Hughes teen cult classic films. About 5 years ago, I was working at a luxury hotel in Los Angeles, and one night Molly Ringwald performed her jazz music in the intimate lobby lounge bar. Needless to say, it was way surreal for me to stand there and watch this 80's icon who I'd grown up on, singing jazz, and, well, looking uncomfortable. But I will say, to her credit or good genes, she hadn't changed/aged a bit, other than her hairstyle, which was like a Cleopatra style (but still red). Also, my now former brother-in-law was a dead ringer for Anthony Michael Hall, and he used to get into all the hot L.A. nightclubs in the late 80's posing as him. Everyone bought it hook, line and sinker, and he even posed for pics with AMH fans lol..
when I was young the Young Guns & The Mighty Ducks films were considered popular & classic! wow, estevez looked a lot like his father in that last clip where he had brown hair
Brat Pack extends beyond (and some came before) these actors featured, such as Matt Dillon, Diane Lane, Kristy McNichol, Charlie Sheen, Matthew Broderick, Jennifer Grey, Christian Slater, Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts. To me, it's every popular teenage or early twenties actor from my generation.
My favorite has to be Demi Moore. Just a gorgeous woman. And still is. Estavez is like Charlie's more responsible brother. I've always like their dad, Martin. Good actor. Francis Ford Coppola directed him in "Apocolypse Now".
sadly we age we do not have to stop the fun in our life weather you young mid mid age or old Only One Life to Live have a crazy life but a safe one love and be loved
Marley B I believe, even though the term wasn't coined until the mid-1980s, that the brat pack actually started with Kristy McNichol, Diane Lane, Matt Dillon.
Imagine one movie in the 1980's with this cast and with john hughes Emilio Estevez Molly Ringwald Tom Cruise Elizabeth Shue Judd Nelson Ally Sheedy Anthony Michael Hall Demi Moore Andrew McCarthy Heather Graham Rob Lowe Olivia Barash
I considered not just "breakfast club" and "st.elmo's fire" a brat pack movies but 16 candles, pretty in pink, weird science, about last night and Ferris buellers day off.
vava coulter plus she was in Charlies Angels...she's actually done a lot. kind of sad she being labeled a someone who's known for marrying movie star men...
All this has achieved is to make me want to watch The Breakfast Club again and marvel at how cool John Bender was and how they ruined Ally Sheedys gothy sexyness by the end of the film. And then obviously belt out Simple Minds to a startled cat.
I love all the men in Breakfast Club they were awesome gorgeous beautiful awesome all the beautiful words of the dictionary yes baby you guys still look great and older men
So strange what happens to certain actors careers while they were doing so well, I never understand it when other actors go through similar things to them and they make it big. Baffles me. They were all good actors why didn’t they blow up?🤷♂️
Loved Judd Nelson! He really put his total self in the Breakfast Club. Yes, we did wear crap like that. Why not? There weren't any snubbing or special labels on clothing. We were just ourselves!
Although these are the core members, there are many others included in the Brat Pack before and after the name was coined. Actors like Timothy Hutton, Elizabeth McGovern, Sean Penn, Chris Penn, Matt Dillion, Kevin Dillon, Diane Lane, Nicolas Cage, Tom Cruise, John Cusack, Mathew Broderick, Matthew Modine, Charlie Sheen, Ralph Macchio, C. Thomas Howell, Patrick Swayze, Eric Stolz, Mary Stuart Masterson, and more were also apart of this group.
Emilio used to be my FAVORITE, until I did the MIGHTY DUCKS with him. I asked him for a picture, & as he was signing autographs. .......he said No:( So, I would have to say JUDD NELSON Is my FAVORITE:)
Well this movie DID come out 32 years ago, so it would stand to reason that NOBODY still looks that young, especially when the Brat Pack are all in their early to mid 50's now haha. Anthony Micheal Hall, the youngest of the Pack, is three years older than me for crying out loud and I'm 45 haha. I sure as hell don't look like I did when I was 14 in 1985.
Were John Cryer and Charlie’s Sheen also members of the Brat pack? If I am right Anthony Michael Hall was first choice to play Ferris in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. he would have been a great choice to play the part but if I am right he turned it down. I wonder how is career would have turned out if he took the part. Also John Cryer auditioned for the lead in this film but did not get the part.
There’s this thing, and it’s called aging. It causes people to look different as they get older. I thought all people knew what that was but I guess not.
Never understood Molly Ringwald's appeal. It's not her fault. I just don't get it. She played the same person in every role. Her acting depth/breadth didn't compare with her contemporaries.
This was the most poorly researched list I've ever seen. You left out SEVERAL big movies that shook most of their "brat pack" labels. Namely, Andrew, Anthony and two others. You made some of the biggest actors sound like total failures when it was this list that failed terribly. Too bad. I was considering subscribing.
Who was your favorite Brat Packer?
The List fuck off
Farmer Ted
1. Molly
2. Ali
3. Emillio
Your momma
JUDD NELSON
No way! People look different when they're 30 years older? I'm shocked.
Velma Velvet I KNOW RIGHT! THIS IS NEWS TO ME :0
isn't it crazy!?!?!?!
Yet here you are!
judd nelson is my favorite. his bad boy John Bender is too hot. Lucky molly. Breakfast club was and is the best

rob lowe was the zak effron of his era
xoppa09 dude! I thought the same thing 😂
Yep
2:24 He looks like Henry Rollins

@@RodCornholio SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE THAT HAPPEN

St. Elmo's Fire when friends were friends without Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
Stop whining
Nobody still has facebook intadsnt gram or twitters
there are no friends just interests
I don't much look the way I did in 1985 either....
rob Lowe has aged perfectly, still looks amazing
The 80s..best time of my life. The Brat Pack brings back great memories.
when I was young the Young Guns & The Mighty Ducks films were considered popular & classic! wow, estevez looked a lot like his father in that last clip where he had brown hair

It doesn't
I've seen Riverdale and 16 wishes & the Breakfast club and I never realised Molly was Archie's mother until now!!!!!
Who looks the same as they did 30 years ago though?
My favorite has to be Demi Moore. Just a gorgeous woman. And still is. Estavez is like Charlie's more responsible brother. I've always like their dad, Martin. Good actor. Francis Ford Coppola directed him in "Apocolypse Now".
sad we all age
sadly we age we do not have to stop the fun in our life weather you young mid mid age or old Only One Life to Live have a crazy life but a safe one love and be loved
Yeah it sucks big time!!
One of the best group of actress and actors
Wasted talent by Hollywood and people of united states
I never considered Demi Moore a member of the Brat Pack
Molly Ringwald is so pretty and so is Ally Sheedy!
No. But Demi Moore is.
They were all my favorites in the Breakfast Club. I still love watching it.
For someone that always looked so young for so many years, Michael Anthony Hall is looking like Wilford Brimley these days.
I just googled a recent pic, and WHOA! You're right!! I'm a year older than him but look 15 years younger!
It just occurred to me all of the rat packers are from the breakfast club and saint elmos fire
Marley B I believe, even though the term wasn't coined until the mid-1980s, that the brat pack actually started with Kristy McNichol, Diane Lane, Matt Dillon.
Imagine one movie in the 1980's with this cast and with john hughes
Emilio Estevez
Molly Ringwald
Tom Cruise
Elizabeth Shue
Judd Nelson
Ally Sheedy
Anthony Michael Hall
Demi Moore
Andrew McCarthy
Heather Graham
Rob Lowe
Olivia Barash
I considered not just "breakfast club" and "st.elmo's fire" a brat pack movies but 16 candles, pretty in pink, weird science, about last night and Ferris buellers day off.
I love the breakfast club, one of my favorite movies, all thanks to Bam Margera, as it was one of his favorites too :)
Oh the '80s
DemiMoore also Executive Produced Movies
vava coulter plus she was in Charlies Angels...she's actually done a lot. kind of sad she being labeled a someone who's known for marrying movie star men...
lowe and sheedy look the best amongst them

Estevez looks like a Sheen.
DJOpaixMusic He is a Sheen. Martin Sheen is his dad. He changed his name...I believe Estevez is his mom's maiden name.
NappyNFree Actually, Estévez is Martin Sheen's real last name, his real name is Ramon, but changed it to Martin Sheen once he started acting.
DJOpaixMusic He's a son of Martin Sheen just like Charlie.
that has been answered many times in this conversation. thanks.
NappyNFree Martin's brother was my high school counselor, Mr. Estevez.
Who read?
Brad Pitt Doesn't Look Like This Anymore
I love all the men in Breakfast Club they were awesome gorgeous beautiful awesome all the beautiful words of the dictionary yes baby you guys still look great and older men

Rob Lowe and Andrew McCarthy are my two favorite 80's actors. They're still good looking even for their age.
2:22
"It made me re-evaluate my life, my career. All the things one hopefully goes through."
Those are some crushing words.
Wonder why they didn’t mention West Wing
I crushed hard on Judd Nelson in the Breakfast Club.
Loved Judd Nelson! He really put his total self in the Breakfast Club. Yes, we did wear crap like that. Why not? There weren't any snubbing or special labels on clothing. We were just ourselves!
suzyloo21 must’ve been nice
Mentioned "The Grinder" for Rob Lowe but left out his role on "The West Wing"?
Ugh i hope in the near future someone will create a simulation that puts me in the Breakfast Club so i can drool over John Bender 😂😂
you and me both gurl
what do you like about him ?
I was watching hitman gameplay and now I'm here....
Emelio Estavez. Loved him in "Repo Man!"
I always thought Kiefer Sutherland was part of the Brat Pack.
Crimson11100 To me, he was, along with Julia Roberts and many others.
Why John Cusack, James Spader and Robert Downey Jr isn’t mention? They’re also considered as part of the brat pack right?
Demi Moore was awesome in charlies angels tho.
Rob was the Zac Efron
It's so sad what time does to us all.
Molly Ringwald did a jazz record.hahaha
People look different when they age?? What a scoooop! 🍻
I hate the term Brat Pack too. Emilio was also in the Outsiders.
Reading the comments are funny, yes, it is normal even for stars to age from 1985
OMG MY BABY's. STILL LOVE THEM DON'T CARE
Emilio Esteves looks like Michael Douglas and Row Lowe looks like Bratt Pit..📽🤗
*reads title* well nO SHIT ITS BEEN LIKE 30 YEARS

Judd Nelson was not in Oxford Blues

80s damn im getting old. Like these stars lol

Why don’t these actors look like they did 38 years ago? I mean most of us look exactly the same at 22 as we do at 60. Right? Well maybe Rob Lowe does.
No ! REALLY ???
They don't still look like they are in highschool ?
OMG... I'm so sad.
Most people don’t look like they did in 1985! Well except Max Headroom.
Were John Cryer and Charlie’s Sheen also members of the Brat pack? The List is competing with Looper for the "Captain Obvious" award

Emilio looked just like his daddy, there Martin in all his childrene even his daughter, Renee.
