Well...I'm from the UK and I thought she was funny way back in her sit-com days, until she used the show as a vehicle for her character to "come out" and it then became all "angsty" & tortured. Bit cringe. If she was "Out" from the start of the show would've been better bcus it got too personal all about Ellen & the laughs disappeared.

Millions of people saw this on TV and there were many many people at the accident scene that said Anne Heche was alive when she was put in that ambulance and that she was not dead on impact !!!
