61 y/o woman just changed a fill valve thanks to your video. All I've ever done with a toilet is use it, clean it or plunge it. Your detailed and to the point video gave me the confidence to feel I could do it. Thank you for saving me money because my other option was to call a plumber to change out a $14 part.😘

Hey, thanks so much for this video. Hubby just bought this brand of fill valve and it gave him confidence that he knew what he was doing. Videos like yours make RUclips and the internet worth their weight in gold. Thanks again.

Simple, straightforward, no use of terms that a average person wouldn’t know, start to finish of whole process; this video not only helped me replace that for my toilet, but genuinely pleased me with how well made it was.
You my friend are a shining example of how all “how-to” and DIY videos should be made! Keep up the great work!

Ja, imagine us folks before UTube 🤣 we had a set of handy repair type books years back. Had to fix a garbage disposal was stuck or something. The darn book said put in a broom handle and that should get out whatever it was. I don't remember the whole thing, but I did & the darn thing worked like normal. Go figure.👍😁🤣

I kid you not. I knew the fill valve was the issue, just didn’t know how easy it was to fix, so I got a plumber. He told my wife we needed new toilets and etc. Wanted to charge $3,500!! I said “awe nah fam” and went on youtube. You basically just saved me $3,485! This vid came in clutch!! 🙏 ✊

Thank you fixed my toilet today for $15. 1 tip, not necessarily "instead of measuring", but when I took the old one off, I just made the new valve the same size by lining up the fill valves next to each other and then unscrewing until the same length.😂😂😂 Thank You Again!

Thank you! You saved me hundreds of dollars. A plumber was going to charge me $50 to come look at my toilet and up to $300 for parts and labor. I spent $13 dollars on the project and I did it in 10 minutes.

My master bedroom toilet never ever totally flushed, I always had to flush twice or more and/ or pour some liquid soap in the center right after pulling the lever so it would flush all the waste. Thanks to you I adjusted the height of the fill system and now it flushes perfectly. I had new flapper and lever , so that didn't need to be replaced. I bought the Fluidmaster 400H because I like the fact that is easy to adjust all features.
Thank you Sir for a great , short and even more important , easy understand video.

Tank water and bowl water adjustments?! What?! Mine were not labeled but the tank water level definitely was adjustable and that was all I needed to modify vs replacing the entire fill valve! Thank you!!! I've been fighting with this darn thing since I moved in 2.5 yrs ago. This is at least the 4th time I thought I fixed it so let's hope this time was it. I learn a little something new each time but am definitely saving this video for the future because it's so short and helpful.

Very good guide to replacing the fill valve, but here are some other tips. 1 - Turn off the house water in case the old shutoff valve at the tank leaks or you bump it and turn it on again (no, didn't happen to me). 2 - The nut under the tank holding in the old filler post doesn't undo with fingers, it needs a wrench. Before starting, practice getting to that nut with the wrenches you have. If you can't get to it, don't start the job and then get stuck halfway! Can't reach it on our toilet, too close to the wall, had to call the plumber anyway.

This video was very easy to understand and every step was clearly demonstrated and explained. My toilet had been running and I was able to replace the fill valve by myself. The only issue I encountered was the old one was over 20 years old and I couldn’t unscrew the plastic ring that sealed it to the tank. I had to go buy a small hack saw to cut it off. After that it was a breeze to install the new one. Thank you so .much!

Excellent video. I have Fluidmaster fill valves in all 3 of my toilets, but prior to watching your video, I never knew they were adjustable. (I'm sure I would've known that long ago if I'd taken the time to read the instructions!) The cost of water here is very high and my toilets are older, so they aren't designed to conserve water. They currently use considerably more water than necessary. Being able to adjust the fill valves will allow me to reduce the amount of water used every time a toilet is flushed. Thanks to you, I'm looking forward to a lower water bill in the future!
