After watching about 10 videos, you showed the best examples. People go straight to "how to replace a fill valve" without any troubleshooting. Thank you for this excellent content. Troubleshooting feels like 99% of the work when plumbing but only 1% of the plumbing content on RUclips.
Wonderful video. I got exactly the same flusher. Your steps are perfect. I replaced the flusher, because every time I flush , it takes for ever to fill and most of the water drops in the seat while filling the tank. I looked for videos and found yours. I’m going to check the valve exactly like you did, I hope it’ll solve the problem. Thank you 🙏
thank you. Somehow the cheapest replacement parts kit I could find developed a blister on my flapper valve seal. I punctured the blister, and that was it. I don't think flapper valve seal blister was covered in the video, but the video gave me enough to walk through it to the finish. Thanks!
This is great. Thank you sir. I am keen to start taking on some more responsability around the house and your channel looks like the perfect place to help!! Thank you 👏
I seem to have a different type of fill valve than what you show here without the adjustment screw, etc. Any suggestions on where to find information on that. Also my tank seems to leak both into the toilet and outside on to the floor. But the bottom surface underneath the fill valve area seems dry
Is it a Fillmaster fill valve? The leak outside could be from the tank to bowl connection. See if you can see or feel water dripping or running down the backside of the bowl.
The level of water in the toilet bowl was increasing after some time even the flapper was definitely closed before. Can you give me a reason? I did not know where is the water in the bowl coming from.
I have two types of toilets in my house one is a Briggs and the other is a Kohler (hope I spelled it right) , anyway my fill valve kept refilling only like a 1/2 inch every say 20min. and I did everything this video suggested ( well done Sir. ) anyway the problem turned out to be the large white nut for the seal from the tank to the toilet (it was lose) so took everything apart and tighten it problem solved, So this is just one more step if you become stumped. I hate Kohler toilets oh and those cone shaped fill cylinders on a kohler toilet I would get rid of them and only by fluid master units anyway project done all good thank you Hacks buy Dad great job
mine did that - long delay before refill. I turned the fill valve float screw counter clockwise all the way. Now works as should. Keep the water level at least 1/2" below top of overflow pipe.
Ive looked at about 4 different videos and i finally got it!!! Thank so much i just hope it continues to cooperate!
Glad to hear it! 👍😎

My water isn’t running to the pipe but it’s close to it and keeps running after flush why ?
