Thank you so much for sharing this shaun. I am editing my videos in premiere pro & sequence settings just change the quality of my video. I am definitely going to try this method & will let you know.
how can i rotate the footage with the changing of aspect ratio? instead of changing the frame aspect ratio over the footage i need to actually rotate the entire footage. i filmed overhead.
Is it possible to keep the image settings from a slideshow - like not have all of the images get wonky and messed-up when resizing using this method? This is way better than creating a duplicate sequence, which can turn the audio mono (and you can't make it stereo).
Hi Shaun this is Mohammad this video was really helpful thank you so much for sharing it I hope you are having a wonderful time happy Christmas my friend
I'm trying to do podcast editing and I want to change the aspect ratio but we also have 2 people so I have to keep going back and forth. How do I do that? Can I adjust it back and forth on the same clip or do I need to copy the clip and have one person in one and one person in the other?
Keep making tutorials! I am actually not using After effects or Premiere but I wat to use them in the future and I want a teacher like you! (My computer had problems with premiere)
Quick question, how do you export only the tiktok aspect ratio vid then? Cuz my vid is 12 mins long and then I done the auto reframe which makes a seperate sequence but then when I'm going to export it takes the time from the original sequence, what do I do?
Make an in and out point by putting the cursor at the beginning of the clip and hitting “I” and going to the end of the clip and hitting “O” then when you export make sure that it saws source in/out
Hello, if i need to focus on more than one person (if camera is switching between 2 people who are having a conversation, and i need to focus on whoever is talking at the time) how can i do that, and if i cant do that with premium pro, what software can i use? Thank you!
Unf my videos have so many different elements that this feature is really useless. Once changed over a lot of the re-sizing options are greyed out. For example, I cannot even resize my talking head so it takes over the entire (re-sized) screen. This feature has a long way to go before being useful on any type of video other that the most simple example you used here.
I don’t understand why everyone is so happy about this opportunity? Premier Pro simply creates new sequences when you change video format. So, what is next? This is a very primitive solution from the developers of Premier Pro. Let's imagine a 16x9 project, which, after the “customer’s approval”, using the same method as in this video, you made other formats for social networks 1x1, 4x5, 9x16. And suddenly there’s another edit from the customer. You will have to make edits in four projects instead of just one, which is four times more work for you. Ideally, this Autoframe should work in the main project and not create new ones. In the version of Premier Pro 2020, using some workarounds, it was possible to create reframes for other formats through one project; now, on new versions of Premier Pro, the old method, unfortunately, does not work. Friends, what are we happy about here?😁😅 *Does anyone know how to work with different formats in ONE PROJECT? Tell us in the comments

I give this a go but some reason makes mine into like images not a moving video
Honesty, when this video started I thought I was watching an ad and tried to skip it.
Same 😂😂😂
This saved me I edited a video and had to reframe it bc it was cropped 😭😭😭

At 1:46 you mention using Reframe Offset. Nothing happens when I do this. I do have the clip selected. Any tips about what I might be doing wrong?
you've gotta add reframe offset again, from effects panel
Looks like this won't work if there are effects on the clip, like time slow down.
LIFESAVER!
Why does the quality degrade on the new sequence when I do this?
Excellent vid
Thank you 🙌
How can you keep the changed aspect ratio clip still? I want it to not move.
You would have to track the subject to keep them in the centre of the frame
THX!!!! :D
Bless you!
width 1620 x high 2880 how export?
