Hi again. It’s me. You might want to build some batteries. Also I typically just use a big rice field and that will keep everyone from going hungry. Also you should invest in some shelves as it increases the time it takes for your food to spoil.
@@ImJPGz Also, I recommend a big field of rice to build supplies followed by shifting over to corn, which lasts longer in storage and takes less work to grow.
I may be THE ConfusedGuy101, but I still have some sense for my favorite games! Here's some useful little tips that don't spoil anything big: - If you build your walls out of stone bricks, they don't burn due to fires! Steel does burn though, odd how that works... If you build shelves, or a warehouse room in your base... - You can link shelves' storage rules together by selecting multiple of them (or double clicking one), and then clicking the "Link" button on the bottom of the screen near the rest of the shelf-related buttons. - And finally... You can put vents in your base's walls to make sure that all rooms are (relatively) equal temperature, so if one room is cooling or heating up, the others will be too over time! Hope you use these tips well, JPGz. And on a side note: This is the first video I've seen of yours, looking forward to watching more because this channel seems to have care put into it.
Hey @confusedguy101! Thanks for watching the video and dropping Me some useful tips! The shelves seem a popular opinion! Thanks for the comments on the channel! I'm pretty new to it but I'm trying not to just throw random stuff together 😂
Nice Vid Dude glad the second attempt is going better But part of the reason the cooler wasnt working was because you had torches in the freezer Torches and campfires raise the temp enough to stop the freezing process and since you have power you should try to invest in lamps for the freezer at least
After putting well over 800 hours into this game I dont have advice I want to share because honestly, i envy I cant experience being new to rimworld anymore Being unknowledgable of strats and tricks and going off by trial and error its just something peaceful and nostalgic about it that I prevent myself giving advice cause I wanna keep watching you learn and grow as a new player...
@sportyzmech2104 I actually love this comment! It's amazing but you don't actually realise your learning, you just do things ans then think, oh I've learnt that 😂
Hey, you’re doing Rimworld now! Don’t worry about the Warg mate, my first colony went down from, and I shit you not chief, a fucking hamster. Best hint I can give you for cash is drugs and clothes. If my colonies were companies they’d be Escobar and Gabbana. Beware though, the richer you are the bigger the raids against you get…. Oh, and I’m the same with names, playing XCOM rn, I spend an inordinate amount of time naming people. Congrats on a thousand subs mate, well deserved.
Double wall your freezer. It'll insulate better, which is important in a warmer environment. Unfortunately triple walls and up don't give better for insulation than double. Also check your turbines. I thought I saw a tree in the clearance area for one of them. Select the turbine and it'll tell you if anything is blocking it. Make sure there are no trees, walls, etc in the white boxes on either side of them. Crops in the clearance zone are fine, though. I'd lay down some concrete flooring behind them or another growing zone. Either will keep the area tree free. Research batteries as soon as you can, as Turbines aren't consistent in power generation and batteries can store excess for when the wind dies down. Just keep them under a roof. ( Just make sure that roof isn't in the turbines' clearance zone ) Ultimately you'll want Geothermal Generators. ( Watermills are good when you have a map with a river, too. )
@@ImJPGz It's good for living areas in extreme environments too. I've found that arctic bases can be rough to keep warm if you don't double wall. Spamming enough heaters will do it, but double walling is way more energy efficient.

Hidden conduits provide you a 100% secure of "Zzzt" instead of just being invisible, so... it's just a bit more expensive but surely pays off
I have no idea what Zzzt is but I suspect its the noise of electricity 😂
@@ImJPGz you will know, definitely... 🤣
@@ImJPGzif you have zzzt you want to get rid of it ASAP

Did not immediately burrow into the mountain and erect a solid granite killbox on the front of the base 0/10.
