Nicely done mate! Sometimes half the battle in PZ is getting to the place you want to go and even the best plans invariably go to pot about 5 minutes in 😁, you did keep things on track pretty well though I'd say! Regarding the cinema, I don't believe the basegame offers any way to watch a movie there though I wouldn't be at all surprised if there's a mod for that, also in one of the recent dev blogs I'm pretty sure it was mentioned they're looking into something that may facilitate video playing in the game on TVs and in cinemas!
New traits are looking strong. Hearing you say "I was drowsy" so often just hammers home to me why I always take Wakeful though! Personally I'm not a fan of Police Officer as an occupation because I focus on melee and construction so the Lumberjack is just too advantageous to ignore, but much more than traits, occupation choice is really personal taste. Driving into a tree when you absolutely did not need to is like a rite of passage in PZ! Finding the katana was real nice. I say use it. So what if it doesn't last? It might be your first but it won't be your last and you might as well have some fun.
Exactly. There's no "wrong" way to play PZ The Lumberjack is a bit of a meta pick because it has an ability no other choice can get but I recommend you try them all at some stage and really lean into what they offer to get a good feel for what you like. (Fair warning, some occupations are...ahem...less good.)
@@jimi3138I agree. With how PZ handles injury and first aid currently there is no game play reason to go for either of those. Security Guard is another with no real reason to play them. Farmer and Fisherman are virtually useless. Electrician, Engineer, Metalworker and Mechanic are also, at best, niche picks. But JPGz is new to PZ and it's much more fun to experience a game for yourself than just read up on the meta and pick the same default "best" choices everyone has already decided on. Also, as streamer being able to pick an occupation *just* for the story is very viable. (Playing weak characters is also a great learning experience!)
yeah I couldn't agree more that "meta" builds and min/maxing kinda ruin the experience of the game.. I personally have always roleplayed myself, I start with only 2 fitness and I'm out of shape, unfit, underweight, asthmatic, and unemployed :D - and some more minor negative traits too - .. so it kinda is like the opposite of "meta", but I don't have a problem working around those negative traits and surviving PS: I got now 3.5k hours and I play with a really difficult setup.. my advice for anyone who wants to take it is start playing with sprinters, just 1-2% in the beginning until you're comfortable with it then increase the percentage @@SweenyMarc
SHIT i have 2000hr in game and for my gun I use a 2x sawed off Double barreled shotty... holstered like a pistol so I can keep my crow bar on my back. I Aways take a Clothier.. with the sew mods I have the backpack add on pockets make it SO worth it.
@@ImJPGz and if you didn't already know you can still get zombified from scratches and lacerations. It's just the fact that scratches only have around a 7% chance of infection, and lacerations have a 25% chance of infection.
I want to suggest grabbing trashbags everywhere you can, and throwing your loot in them when you need to drop it for pickup later. It takes very little time to pick up or drop a full trashbag but can take a lot time to move lots of loot without them. It may even be worth your time to drop a trashbag and loot into it then pick it back up. As someone else also suggested, you can carry an extra backpack, satchel, etc, in your left hand so you can grab more loot. If you use a one-handed weapon you can still fight just fine. One-handed axe should work well for your character with your axe skills.
@@ImJPGz yeah plus theres like 100 more in the dormitory so watch your back. i used a noise machine in the halls. and tbh the loot could be better but its a great base location just knock out the stairs and your done
@@ImJPGz Well its the best gear out there, but it also slows you down and in the summer it makes you sweat horribly. Wouldn't call it nooby though. Most experienced players just wear the pants though.
Alright sorry my bad I think I just got triggered lol .. ok so the firefighter jacket gives you a 10% penalty in combat speed - really felt while playing especially once you start getting exerted. In addition the jacket and pants each give a penalty to running speed but this may be disabled in the current version of the game.. you're better off wearing several layers of clothes for higher scratch/bite protection. Here's my usual vanilla outfit: overalls instead of pants, military boots "desert or regular depending on weather and availability", longsleeve shirt, short sleeve shirt, hoodie, denim shirt, long socks, leather jacket and gloves, any cool helmet, bulletproof vest, and a scarf.. also longjohns when it gets cold... I wear all of this together at all times, it will make you a little hot but this can easily be negated/ignored.. And all this only starts to shine once you find a needle for tailoring (favorite the needle and never leave it out of your backpack), when you hit level 4 and higher tailoring and all your clothes have leather patches on them you become much more of a tank.. this gear will save you countless times and will not slow you down@@ImJPGz
@@ImJPGzJimi came back and expanded a bit already, but a big issue with high insulation clothes is overheating. When you get hot you get tired MUCH quicker. It is a horrible feedback loop where you're running and fighting, which makes you hot and tired, and getting hot makes you more tired, and the more tired you are the more fighting you have to do to beat each zed, which makes you hotter and more tired! Plus, once you get sweaty you have a chance to catch a cold and that's a ball ache to get rid of. A week+ indoors doing nothing but keeping all negative moodles away. (Check out "How To Properly Lose Your Cold In Project Zomboid" by Retanaru to see what it takes.) My standard clothing setup is something like - military boots, socks (emergency bandage/escape rope), jeans or military pants, some kind of under-shirt (emergency bandage/escape rope), denim shirt, a vest (but I use a mod that gives vest attachment points) leather jacket, gloves, some kind of helmet, the first Ying Yang necklace I find. In theory, black leather trousers are the best trouser because they are light and have very high protection, but the are extremely rare. Likewise, there is a "best" option for every clothing slot but it's really not worth worrying about. Wear what you think looks cool.
It took way to long...
Nice to see you back ! i was waiting with baited breath.

I was wondering when this series would continue. Happy to see it back in my subs.
