Might be first ever, I don't know. It's hard to tell because older videos don't tend to declare whether they used tools.
Wow, what an amazing level! Routing this was a ton of fun. Playing this was.... a little less fun but still nice. After you've found reasonably consistent strats for the puzzle portion of the level, the main difficulty becomes beating the yoshi wings stage that's strategically placed 6 minutes deep into the level. I probably died there ~20 times, with one extremely frustrating death on the last yoshi dismount. Overall though, this stage might be the easiest to do RTA now that there's an RTA-friendly route (though I've not seriously attempted any of the other stages).
Note that this was done on a fixed version of Cool or Cruel (standard Cool or Cruel crashes when entering pipes while a p-switch is active...). You can download it here: bin.smwcentral...
[EDIT: I forgot to insert the poison mushroom sprite in the original version I linked here, which made the 2nd level impossible. This new version includes the poison mushroom and should work....]
