The Skateboarding Show I used to watch him at Winchester skate park back in the day. Now I can catch him at Cunningham skate park on the occasional weekend. Super cool
@@JosephDelgado687 Our lose it and kill people like Gator, or themselves like Jeff Philips. Sadly, a lot of 80s skaters never transitioned well from vert to street.
I bought a second hand Cab board too in '88! If I ever buy another board and skate again I'll get his newest board.. watching him skate makes me think about it..real inspiring..
Absolutely my favorite skater of all time. Absolute greatness. Subtle, humble master. I started skating in 89. Cab was my first pro deck. I used to try and tilt my head(crook my neck?)the way he skates cause I thought it was so stylish.. I just love the way this guy skates. Thank you Steve Caballero for being my inspiration. For still kicking it. For the nostalgia. For the fact that I can find you on you tube shredding in 1987. You are the man. And you found Animal Chin. Twice.
Not really all these clips are in the Tony Hawk pro skater games which inspired me and many other kids at the time to skate and still skate 20 years later
No, no mannys, no mini ramp gnar, no tech skating, no big airs, or technical ability to flip his board on street, or vert. He is good at railslides and that can translate to a handrail. Not very well rounded at all. Go play thps, or look up "Danny Way questionable" if you want to see well rounded
amazing how he combines style with technical ability; he clearly also just kept learning new things through the 90s. He skated like a pro 10-15 years younger than himself.
My memories of Caballero are pools and halfpipe. Never knew he could skate street that good. Always one of my favorite skaters and still skating. I think that whole bones brigade crew is still skating.
Man the nostalgia is great in this video as a whole!! Throwback THPS days with no worries and great tunes from bands i would have never listened to had it not been for those awesome games and way of lifestyle!
Cab in my opinion is the OG best all terrain skater of all time. So much style on vert and he managed to transfer all that style to his street skate. This video absolutely screams late 90s and very very early 2000s
You are stupid AF, or just ignorant. He was @ss at street hence why he quit. This stuff doesn't hold up with Questionable and that came out in 92. You thps morons really have no idea what skating was like at the time. Do you know who DANNY MF WAY IS???? He was more well rounded than this in 1992
Life goes by so fast. I saw a recent youtube video of Steve skating. Can't get over how fast time flies. Feels like it was just yesterday I was watching him skate at the xgames on a balmy August afternoon in the early 2000's...
More THRASHER covers than anyone, kills street mini and very, 47 years old, found god, still rips harder than you, and is one of the nicest guys u will ever meet. Stevie cab is skateboarding.
One of the BEST. Thank You Steve and Bones Brigade. I am from Santa Maria - RS - Brazil. Now i am 40yold. Nah. But i really like skateboarding since 15yold . Nas ferias, I got my skate at 08:00 AM skate all day and show up at home about 23. Maha shape, NARINA wheels. i do not remember the trucks. NMB bearing. Now i have dropdead shape (Nilton Neves) , moska 60mm truck trucker and no courage.
You have no clue. Go play thps ya goon. Best on rails to this day??? WTF straight up? You must have your head up your @ss all the way before y2k. Jon Allie in Zero Dying to live makes this look as shameful as IT WAS. Street Cab knew it was not good when he had to useflat bars to get street footage. Those of you who say his stuff was good at the time HAVE NO CLUE and are thps morons. Questionable came out in 92. Duffy made these rails look small in 92. Osiris "The Storm" came out in 98. The technical ability of people like Chris Dobstaff make this look sad. We have respect for Cab because he is an originator, not because of his street or vert skating, or because he made the switch and hit a few long rails. He is one of the bigger second generation pool skaters. He deserves a board forever, but you people clearly have no idea how skating was and only played thps
Caballero is up there in the ranks with skaters like Tom Penny, Muska, Guy Mariano, they're skaters that adapt to any style and have been around forever.
@@vperkv6554 i agree. even though Andy might not be able to bust out 720's and such like Cab on a half-pipe, Cab doesn't have the freestyle and flatground chops like Andy
Cab is one of my early heroes, and I'm glad to see some quality street footy of him going into the millennium. That being said, his street parts were state-of-the-art before Mike Ternasky and H-Street raised the bar for me, and it was frustrating watching his 90's parts knowing that he just needed a better producer. I knew he was keeping up, but the output from Powell hardly reflected that fact, and that's a shame.
FatPigCypris I know it’s 6 years on but it’s the first time I’ve seen it and he grabbed it method. Met him in Munster in ‘87. Him and Kevin Staab nicest skaters I’ve ever met.
not really, people put to much emphasis on the trick instead of style. but that same thing created street league and ruined competition skateboarding. now if you dont have a tre flip in your run its not good. there are a lot of really good skate videos made by local shops that are still just filled with people enjoying skateboarding.
#skateboarding is fun regardless the trick .. I dont care what people do as long as it has a good music track and the part shows the skater having fun...
dbspaceoditty I think he means in terms of pro level tricks. You can have the best style in the world but if you’re doing basic tricks you won’t make it. He meant how far skating has come with the insane level of tricks nowadays
i always say my generation of skaters will always be the best because we had to use the power game of skating with those boards. plus our style of being on that' board. not taking anything away of todays guys but on those tiny free style boards flips are a lot easier. and i don't see different styles that much but hey fun is fun thats the main part.
doesn't get any better than that
the guy turned pro in 1979 and has been killing it ever since
