That was a very nice session, I have never seen Tailor caught there before but to be honest I have never fished with bait or too many times before, but just a suggestion about the snip offs, if you run out of long shank hooks when the Tailor are around try and keep some Fastach clips in the tackle box and clip your standard or circle hooks to one and that gives you a little more distance from your knot and line and also allows for fast hook size change. I am surprised you were getting hook ups when the pump was off, if it was off as it looks like it was. Did you just cut square sort of pieces of pilchard for bait or strips like I see some do?

yeah they can get a bit annoying mate,i dont no if there is a time table or anything like that but from my experience when its really cold like close to 0 for a few days and everyone has there heaters on the pump will be on

the pump had been on during the week so im guessing the fish stuck around, i was using full pillys with the head cut off
