I love learning how to fish, fishing relaxes my whole body and my mind feels so stress free I will never stop fishing 🎣 even if I don't catch sometimes
@@HeySkipper you should kill the fish immediately. Get a needle. Letting the animal suck h20 after it gave up its life for you feels like you dont care.
Love that last minuet Black Drum! Erin : "You going to keep it and eat it?" Brendon: "Yeah, I'm going to keep it an eat it!" Hey underdog, Put that on a T-Shirt!!!!
HI Skipper i love your videos i have been watch for months now and your really motivated me by making fishing a hobby.. Cant wait for the next video🎣👌🏽
My favorite fishing is on our jetties when theres masses of baitfish and shoals of preadators chasing them and blowing up everywhere and you are chasing them up and down throwing poppers at them and spoons. My idea of fun.
I really like your channel. I grew up fishing the Texas coast for over 40 years. Made custom rods during those years that are still being used today. I had a lot of customers :) I live in Washington now and I've noticed a shift to large spinning gear as opposed to the heavy Fenwicks and Harrington rods we used. I still have a Penn Jigmaster and and Squidder I hope to use again someday but I'm getting older and those long casts and burned thumbs are probably a thing of the past for me. The one comment I have is about the jackfish. I know it's an abundant resource and is probably not being eaten but it shouldn't be a "photo op" for the gaff. A cleanly released jack is a much better outcome. Thanks for the content and keep fishing for those of us who are no longer able to on the Texas coast.
I am so glad you talking about killing GT's for shark bait. There were time you could not buy that bite in the gulf. Especially off the jetty. Seems the Gulf has been nicely rehabbed. Tight Lines.
After the hook up" when the fish in the deep don't have the drag to tight.. Once the fish come closer that's when you tighten up and bring it in" Carlos is a champ always willing to help to gaff the fish
Those jacks are so fast and powerful. I bet your arms got a workout. Glad you caught that drum so you can both enjoy a nice meal. Keep those lines tight
Mud will also do the same thing to your balance. Try south padre Island. Usually the water is a bit nicer. Plus there's plenty of hole in the wall restaraunts for cheap! Just gotta drive a couple more hours south could hook into reds, snook, tarpon ...A middway point could be corpus and you could hook up with "thresher fishing"
I want to see "suitcase Erran" making cameo appearances everywhere you go. We want to see her at the beach, on the jetty, in the truck abd everywhere you go Our dear sweet "suitcase Erran" needs to get out more often! SNL would love to feature "suitcase Erran" in the World News sketches ! Give us more "suitcase Erran" and let her out on the road more!!!!
Hi my friend Yep that’s what happens. I live in Kuwait when we have a big sandstorm. That’s exactly what happens. You need to stop let the sand dry out and then you can continue. Good luck. Love you show.
Growing up in Florida we used to catch Jack's off the peir and yes we did eat them, they were excellent tasting. However when you grow up poor you ate what you caught 😋
Dude I love your videos! Especially the ones in Texas. Texas boy here, but unfortunately the Army takes me away, but I can be there vicariously through your channel lol! Can’t wait until retirement so I can settle on the Gulf coast of Texas!
I would love to go fishing with you one day. Me and my mates and you mates fishing together. It would go down like a dream and I think we would get lots of good caches. Keep up the good vids mate.
Just started fishing like 2 weeks ago and I caught 2 small catfish so far Not happy with the results but all this is very new to me I’m learning as I go exploring different spots. I don’t like to bother people but I have asked some older locals they all say your limited with out boat so I just been driving all over naples coast looking for spots. Il never give up though because I’m falling inlove with fishing it’s first ever hobby besides playing video games and I feel more productive
Classic customer states moments! Lol I have been a mechanic for over 14 years and never ran across this one before. And I live in Florida! Love the videos!
So happy that you didn't new tires or other expensive repairs to your truck. Big win for you guys!! Haven't seen the whole video yet but stoked that it was just sand in your wheel. Cheers !!
Honestly I’m happy someone else can understand how that feels, I’m really relieved it wasn’t a big repair, because I needed that time to catch all those fish!
Jacks fight hard because of their tail structure and mainly they use their width against you from land…from a boat they are not so tough..great fishing 👍🏼
Hey You Two, Awesome video. Lots of action. It's great how everybody works together on the jetty as they should. That would have been a great picture to have with the pile of jack/jacks and everybody standing behind them. Great tunes too. Hot Coffee was my favorite. Thanks for the video. Keep up the good work. Good luck...
Thanks for another great video. My brother -in - law, my husband and I went surf fishing the first time I went to the beach I made them throw all the companies back because they BBC were to pretty to eat. The next time we went we kept them and when I tasted them , no more throwing them back to eating to throw back.
Hi Skipper that was funny when I had a 77 jeep CJ7 back in the day I always cleaned my wheels after going on the beach or through deep sand or mud. Wow the jetty is loaded it has been a very long time sense I was there looks different I also fished the beaches and the Texas City dike back in the 70's and 80's.
Hey buddy. Welcome to Texas . If you go next time , I’d suggest you to go the other jetty ( Quintana ) where there’s less angler . I’ve been fishing at Quintana for years. If wind SSE , SE or E ( it’s almost of the days ) then you’ll have a good day. * May - October early in the morning ( speckle trouts , Spanish Mackerels , Pompanos. * October and later : Sand trouts , Croakers . Good luck and have fun .
Been a while since I've fished with both Carlos' due to work. I'm glad to watch you fish with them and catch those Jacks at the surfside jetty. It's a rush catching those jacks. Especially on those rare days that the water is clean like that
Been watching your videos for some time and have been impressed and excited about surf fishing on the Atlantic Coast near Jacksonville, FL. Also subscribed and purchased 160 dollars of your items that I can't wait to try once they arrive! Keep the great videos coming as well as the items available in your store. Lamar
That’s what’s up man I was cheering for you I’m happy you landed I just found you this was the first video of yours that I watched and I’m hooked great video bro !!!!
That is my favorite thing about the Texas fishing community. Everyone looks out for each other and there's a lot of mutual respect. Just last weekend I was fishing off a pier in Galveston and a guy gave me his squid and shrimp as bait when he left and even told me to take his spot since it was a very active spot. Once I caught my fill, I gave the squid to a guy and told him about the spot and gave another guy the rest of my shrimp. I even gave away the blacktip shark I caught. I love it here.
Wooow congrats 👏. Dude the seriousness on ur face when you hooked into the first one wow. That is the way fishing is supposed to be there was tons of yall there close together but working together to land those beasts amazing
Hey skipper, yes you can eat Jack’s. He just got them out. Take the gills and you smoke them home then you pull the meat and you can make tacos make dip stirfry.
Man I was down in Tampa from MD last week hoping for a HeySkipper type fishing trip. The skyway bridge was so hard to fish. Adolescent fish constantly snatching bait. Everytime I got on a decent snapper, literally had 1 second before a dolphin would take me for a ride. Even lost my tackle box cause I forgot it there. And the surf was just ridden with catfish. You make it look too easy brother!
Bro, that bridge kicks my butt literally every time too. Tampa is tough, but beautiful. Honestly spring is a hard season because it’s so darn windy, Texas was the best place for us this spring.
Go really far down a cut the tail of your live bait and throw it out and reel it in slow your gonna get mostly Spanish mackerel but I fish that spot a couple times a week I love the skyway
Welp. I guess I'll stop asking if you fished the Port Aransas/Packery Channel jetties....the next time you make a trip to Texas PLEASE try these locations. A collab with ThresherFishing also wouldn't suck.
I've always wondered if you'd come fish my home waters!! It was cool to watch you fish one of my favorite spots and slay those jacks like you did!! Good job bro and keep up the good work :) And I love my fellow Texans for being so team oriented like they where in this video!!!!
Love how all the fishermens come together to help out.

I love learning how to fish, fishing relaxes my whole body and my mind feels so stress free I will never stop fishing 🎣 even if I don't catch sometimes
This is why I like watching him he doesn’t use live scope 🤙🏽 real fishing at its finest 🎣
Looks like a lot of fun. I like how everyone seems to know one another and helps each other out.
It is always great to see how fishermen help one another. I would rather help a young person be successful than catch something myself. Grandpa Jack
That's what we like about Texas... Thank your Lady for great camera work!
This place reminds me where I fish here in Brazil.🎣🐟🐠
Your fishing equipment is fantastic, you are an excellent fisherman, congratulations!👍👏👏
Hats off to Mr. Cody from Dscount Tire and saving the fishing day. Wish my location was that honest.
The sand in the wheels made me laugh 😂. Great vid as usual.
Haha it made me laugh and glad that it wasn’t anything serious lol!
@@HeySkipper you should kill the fish immediately. Get a needle. Letting the animal suck h20 after it gave up its life for you feels like you dont care.
Wow, an HONEST Person who did NOT take advantage of you. I commend him for this.
I’ve dove in these waters. The fish in the huge boulders are amazing. Some of my best trips when you catch it clear and slack tide.
Man look at the rods bend!! Best feeling in the world! Great video guys and looked sooooo fun!!!
Thanks Ben! This is a Rod bending episode for sure!! It was honestly one of the best days of fishing for all of spring
Love it when everyone linked up for the Pic!
A real fisherman never eats his lunch until he knows what the fish are biting on. Thanks for the great video! Jerry
Glad you guys had a great time in Texas. Galveston Texas is a great place for fishing 🎣
Love that last minuet Black Drum! Erin : "You going to keep it and eat it?" Brendon: "Yeah, I'm going to keep it an eat it!" Hey underdog, Put that on a T-Shirt!!!!
The fishing spot here is ideal 👍🐟
it's amazing the attraction is fun and the fishing spot also guarantees to produce big fish strikes ❤️🤣
HI Skipper i love your videos i have been watch for months now and your really motivated me by making fishing a hobby.. Cant wait for the next video🎣👌🏽
I love some jetty fishing
One of my favorite places on the coast
We always go to the packery a couple of times during the summer
Probably one of the best fishing videos of 2022 that was epic
My favorite fishing is on our jetties when theres masses of baitfish and shoals of preadators chasing them and blowing up everywhere and you are chasing them up and down throwing poppers at them and spoons. My idea of fun.
Never a dull moment
It was an action packed day!
My wife and I caught three jacks just a few weeks ago in Destin I would have to agree with you the strongest fish I ever caught!
I really like your channel. I grew up fishing the Texas coast for over 40 years. Made custom rods during those years that are still being used today. Tight Lines.
Good video, jack is a great sporting fish, glad you put one back…you guys should put more of them back and share a few for bait if you want.
Let the fish run for longer. It also gives you a better fishing experience and you don't lose so much fish on the hook.
Carlos, the best deck hand,on the jetty. You da man.
After the hook up" when the fish in the deep don't have the drag to tight.. Once the fish come closer that's when you tighten up and bring it in" Carlos is a champ always willing to help to gaff the fish
Not to mention he’s not staying parallel with the fish and crossing everyone’s line when he’s fighting it he’s obviously a novice
That's the opposite way we catch kingfish on a boat. We put the hurt on them then back the drag off as they get close to the boat
Those jacks are so fast and powerful. I bet your arms got a workout. Glad you caught that drum so you can both enjoy a nice meal. Keep those lines tight
My arms were tired after a few of them haha.
