I tend to lean towards the Bandit's version, with a slight twist . . . . . The girl distracted Otacko during the fight, thus allowing the Bandit to get in a lucky stab.
The AI would weigh out the facts in his favor. No one would get punished in that case. The girl would be awarded the chain saw and become a lumber jack.
