My daughter is named Daisy. She’s a competitive fighter at only 7 years old.
We nicknamed her Daisy the Destroyer as a toddler.
I might need to introduce her to yoga and macrame.
If she starts showing interest in joining law enforcement you're going to have to intervene.

This episode was so well done. Derek and Collin’s story being a parallel to Daisy and Basira’s, the episode name “accomplice” fitting both stories, the deeply tragic end to Daisy and Basira’s character arcs. And on top of that tragic end, Basira was hoping she could save Daisy, but the writers didn’t actually go with that trope.
To be entirely honest, as heartbreaking and sad as that scene was, I would have been disappointed if Rusty Quill had saved Daisy. I loved Daisy and I loved how she was mellowing out and befriending Jon last season, but pulling the “power of friendship cures all” card in a story like this? Especially in that situation? It would’ve killed the atmosphere of the series and the season. So as much as I hate that Daisy had to die, from a meta perspective I’m glad the writers made it happen.
In a different time, a different place, I think she could have become someone better. But these were, however unfortunate, the circumstances she was stuck in led her to this.
RIP Daisy. The person she was without the Hunt influencing her the way it had all her life deserved better.... but then, everyone deserves better than whatever their end in Fear World may be.

I don’t think we’re worried about things making sense when we’re talking about dream logic, but this was a neat explanation. Alfred Jarry sounds like a name that would fit right in to TMA to be honest

Interesting parallels here, between Derek & Colin and Daisy & Basira.
Especially with the Derek and Colin always having "each other’s backs" stuff which is repeated throughout the statement. And then you have Basira saying "She’s always had my back. Always" about Daisy, at the end. Only in their case, their questionable actions were supposed to be on the side of the law

Yes, Basira, he respects your privacy. Once again, she’s upset (in this case because of Daisy), and punching at Jon because she knows he won’t hit back. So consistent…
So many thoughts. A few:
1. The parallels and callbacks are marvelous. Always, always love that kind of thing.
2. Basira projects like a movie theatre.
3. Martin makes a very good mother.
After knowing about all the bad things Daisy did in the past, I still feel really bad about her endling like this. Esp because we got to know her without her being controlled by the hunt after the coffin
She sounded so monstrous. I wonder what she looked like.

It's tragic, Daisy wanted to do better but she was forced to give into the Hunt. Hearing her say Basira's name broke me, I have tears in my eyes. :,(
after all that time serving the hunt, it was the only way she knew how to help. she wouldve adapted eventually, but in that moment everything in her that wasn't the hunt was weak.
Hearing Jon get hurt since a long time ago felt oddly... satisfying. Maybe I'm starting to see him as an avatar, as a monster. It's good to be reminded he can still feel things.

ME TOO JON. ME TOO T-T I'm glad for the Daisy and Basira encounter, I just hoped there was also a Jon and Daisy interaction too, but I get why not, Jon phrased the sadness aptly SO EVERYTHING JUST HURTS MORE. THANKS.

I had been finding this season humorous, what with the interactions between Jon and Martin. Basira brought the gravitas back. This podcast is truly amazing!

Is it just me or does Daisy's voice have the exact same distortion effect as the Afflicted Beggar when he turns into a werewolf?
For some reason I whispered “Stop jabbering! Just shoot her already!!” Like I was right there beside them
I was picturing that scene from Jurassic Park. "SHOOT HER!"
This episode gave me mixed feelings. On one hand I feel bad for Daisy, she was trying to be a better person in the end and could have started down a path of redemption before everything went to shit. On the other hand Basira remains an unlikable asshole with no redeeming qualities and her suffering was immensely satisfying
yeah i can't help giving no shit about Basira all along and can't justify why would anyone care for her like Jon and Martin do

we need to remember martin also became pretty close to becoming a lonely avatar, and one of the side effects was literally not caring about anyone, even himself. I'd like to think this is something he is aware of in this season and working on, but you can't really change how you feel

You know? Daisy's death didnt hurt like Tim or Sasha's.... I don't think I've grown numb? Daisy's death feels like a natural end to her story... On another note, Mom-Friend Martin is wonderful as always

No. No redemption arc. This was Daisy's story. In Basira's head, she is eternally the righteous one. Thats how she's been analyzed and that "I'm not sorry it ended this way" meant. Basira is an example of Law without mercy or kindness.
