Hey Mate, not 100% sure but i think the shackle plate on the inside goes the other way up, the angle piece goes to the top to stop your shackles from inverting themselves :)
I'm no expert, but I believe it has something to do with how they change the suspension geometry and put a lot more pressure on the main leaf? The Australia laws are a lot tougher then in the States.
Hey mate been binge watching your videos as I've just purchased a HJ47 can chassis and just waiting until I build my shed before I start the Resto. My question is those rear shocks look almost all the way extended as it sits there which wouldn't allow any axle flex. Are your springs 2" lifted with non lift shocks? Just wondering what I should be looking out for. Cheers!
Great video, My question is I purchased Old Man EMU suspensión for my 76 Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser. The rear leafs, shocks and bushing fit perfectly, but on the front suspension spring leaf bushings are too small. They send 35mm, but the mechanic is telling me that I need 39mm bushings. One problem I have it’s very hard to get hold of Old Man EMU Company. Do you know where I can get hold of 4x 39mm bushings? I appreciate any help. Sincerely, Al
@@40ChannelCruiser I am in California, the issue I am having with the ARB is the they do not have any manuals from Old Man EMU if they look at the master catalog charts 10 years are older it does say 39mm. The ARB contacted over 20 stores and they all say the same thing that it suppose to be 35mm. The computer information is only as good as what you put in it, but sometimes there is errors. That’s why I want someone from Old Man EMU corporation. The Toyota FJ40 in 1976 they upgraded the engine, and suspension. Also they went from 4 cylinder to 6 cylinder. I know they do make 39mm, but they must not be the popular.
