1:07 - 1:28 You don't necessarily need to send trade carts/cogs to allied markets/docks, you can trade with enemy markets and docks too, though with the risk of getting the units killed.
good point, I try to avoid destroying markets and docks then if they resign I switch them to ally in diplomatic screen and then you have infinite gold (not sure how this works for online games)
for the sake of completeness: you can also trade with neutral players which might sometimes be relevant in the single player campaigns but less so against other players (maybe very rarely in diplomacy games)
A couple clarifications and expansions: When monks heal fish traps and farms, it costs wood as if a villager was repairing them. War galley upgrade not only upgrades the 3 types of ships, it also makes them train significantly faster (War galley: 60s -> 36s, Fire Ship 65s -> 36s, Demolition Ship 45s -> 31s)
I really wish there was an attack-move command that ignored buildings. So annoying when I'm trying to tell my troops to rush at the enemy and they decide to veer off and start attacking a lumber camp that is apparently more important than the enemy army that's bearing down on them.
@@baizen1 I did a map perfect for the Incas. It is a realistic ludicrous-sized map that has all of América except Alaska 'cause the diamond shape forces it out lest I shrink the rest. See my video on it if you want the map. I plan to learn Quechua, Náhuatl, Mayan, Pukina if possible, Lakota and more, and I want to be inspired by playing on that map, and also to practice words I might learn, while playing on the map. "KILL HIM!" would be one of the things I'd have to learn.
I knew 28 of those. Didn't know that monks heal farms and that you could cancel the queue by ctrl clicking the top. The first one is pretty arb, but the second one would be really useful when you select all 12 barracks and queue 20 militia instead of halbs.
If the food resets on a stolen farm, can you unally your teammate so that they can steal your farm when it's about to expire, then resteal it for infinite food farms?

Nope. Which is why I'm surprised casters and pros keeps saying allied markets and docks. In fact, the very fact that you can trade with enemy markets should be the trick and tip in this video. Highly risky? Yes. But in a free for all not destroying an enemy market may be worth considering especially if you know you're going to take them out anyway.
@@curlywhites Because in normal RMs and EWs trading with enemy markets/docks is never a practical choice. When you're playing campaigns or 1 vs several AIs this might be worth looking into, but these scenarios don't concern casters and pros 99% of the time.
Be the kind of enemy who hates post imp trash wars as much as your opponent does, so you set up trade together just so you can vanquish each other with cool, powerful gold units and can have a wonderful, skirmisher-free game
Hang on Viper, I think it is possible for Mayans to get a stable in-game. They lack Redemption, but do get Atonement, and converted units keep their upgrades, so if you convert a Redemption monk and use it to convert a stable, you should be able to make Xolotls as Mayans, I think.

I started playing aoe2 way back in the late 90s. I just got back into it and I never, NUH-HEVER knew you could garrison inside rams to increase their speed. Great vid.
@viper about the Ballista Elephants. They count as Cavalry units more than Siege. Monk heal. Monk convert w/o Redemption. Castle Garrision. Blacksmith techs (they do pierce damage, while Forging line provides melee damage, that is why they are unaffected). Bloodlines. Husbandry. I am saying this by seeing the game files. The game treats them Cavalry by default. The Siege Effects are done manually by devs.
I task 10 gold miners to go to wood by building a lumbercamp and expecting them to drop the gold. However, the lumber camp is built before 3 of the original gold miners reach the camp. Does it still give me that gold? Or is that lost?
You still get that gold, as long as they were tasked to build the lumber camp before it was finished and you don’t change their task (queueing up other actions afterwards is fine I think though). Once they reach the lumber camp and touch it (even after built) they will drop off the resources if those conditions are met.
My biggest problem are that I am always very slow, I also have a problem in late game where I always comes very far from all players In everything.. So far 11 games lose in a row, not a single won game in 1 vs 1, but I continues , it will be very interesting to see in what rating I start to win, right know I have 526 in rating, random maps, ranking.

Actually, it doesn't have to be an ally market for you to trade. I used to trade with a market of the enemy I had defeated in an FFA game, and I flooded the endgame with my missionaries!

additions #1 This does *not* work for a Dock, sadly #11 scout units are also completely unable to attack prey animals (deer etc.) #18 even though monks can heal farms and fish traps you still need to pay the repair cost for doing so. Keep that in mind. #22 this has finally been fixed and TCs can now be repaired even if the player has 0 stone. #26 each garrisoned infantry unit adds a flat 0.05 speed (applies to both rams and siege towers) and +10 building class damage to the ram. Sometimes infantry units (especially champions) actually do more damage when attacking on their own, but that also exposes them, slows down the ram and might cause units to get in the way, so keep those things in mind.

Select a control group for the first six villagers, say ctrl+2 due ctrl+1 is the scout. At the moment to lure the boar assign ctrl+3 to this villager. Lure the boar, garrison the group 2 of villagers, put the gather point of the TC in the boar, shoot two rounds of tc firre, and load the villagers of the tc, not ungarrisoned.
Since I was a child I never liked the idea of finite resources. I wanted to play "simcity" so opponents attacking and resources running out were quite upsetting.
a few corrections. building towers castles tc's kreposts and docks will drop off resources when completed. you can even garrison in castles and kreposts to drop off res just like a town center. you can trade with enemy docks and markets not just allies. mayans can get stables due to the fact they have atonment. if they convert a monk with redemption they can then use that monk to convert a stable
In my scenario editor tests, building tower, castles or kreposts doesn't drop off resources. Garrisonning in a castle doesn't drop off res either. Finally Mayans can't convert a stable trough a converted redemption monk (own redemption research IS needed).

If you also hold shift then you can cancel 5 units at a time :)

Its lost. They have to "tuch" lumbercamp before it get finished
only builders that touches the camp will drop food gold or wood to drop off zone.
You still get that gold, as long as they were tasked to build the lumber camp before it was finished and you don’t change their task (queueing up other actions afterwards is fine I think though). Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can trade with enemies too, so if you find a market from a defeated enemy, you can do some sneaky trading with it.
You can trade with enemies, but I wouldn't recommend new players to focus on that :D
