Late to the party but my son and I have twin Deadbolts and I am really enjoying your vids! This info was great. We have our first fun comp crawl at the LHS this weekend and will go with our stock trucks just for fun. I’ll upgrade a little as money permits but for now just servo and tires. This vid was a great help! Thanks for your work! 👍💪🤙🔥
First off, thanks for making this video. I have a Deadbolt that is entirely stock aside from the brass wheel hubs, and I'd like to keep using them - the thing is, most if not all of these tires are sold unmounted. Would any 1" wheel work with these 1" tires? Not necessary new to RC but definitely new to micro crawlers and have only bought pre-mounted tires!
A little aggravating is an understatement trying to mount the Rc4wd stamped steel wheels. That being said i freaking love them beadlocks. I just mounted 1.0 hyrax tires on white Rc4wd stamped steel beadlocks for my scx24 bronco and the 1.9 chrome stamped steelies with 1.9 hyraxes as well
Added the Patagonia's to my son's C10 replacing the stock tires and it came alive, mild lift over stock for approach angle help along with obstacle clearance and boy can he climb now. Did require some wheel arch trimming though.
Can you do a video on your Ford truck? Make of it? Upgrades? I’m looking to get into this hobby with my son and want to pick something with upgrade options. Thanks.
I just got the super swampers and the white beadlock wheels, they look so good on my C10 lol, and they work good on rocks and mud and grass, very good all around performance. They are the soft compound and they stick very well to wood and rocks. 👍
@@jaycearnold9047 not much at all, i just did the tiny corner of the front wheelwell to make it angled slightly so when you steer it the tire doesnt hang up on the body.
@@jaycearnold9047 the width of the tread is a bit wider as the design is more squared off, the stocks are a bit rounder. As for track width id say probably 2-3mm on each side, not a lot. The center of the tire is basically where the body is.
I just watched this and have been been between alot of tires and after watching. Decided I'd go with the Goodyears. I've bough some treal wheels and hope they fit. Ive heard sometimes they do and don't. I'm new to the hobby and have an SCX24 C10 which I love and have alot of plans to upgrade. Thank you for the helpful video keep up the good work!

I definitely want to go larger tires simply for looks ,That what I can do until Horizon Hobby Get back in touch or charger Hopefully shows Up ASAP,I was happy to see a tire video, I got a million questions you helped clear up a lot about tires,Much Appreciated
I recently bought my first 1/24th scale tires. Ended up getting two sets (8 tires) of RC4WD Goodyear Wranglers. I wanted a soft but not overly aggressive tread, and not too big to put in my Deadbolt and Enduro24. They are smaller than the stock tires on the Deadbolt, which look too big to me. And they are bigger than the stock tires on the Enduro24, which look too small to me. I also ordered, but haven't received yet, two sets of Treal beadlocks. I hope they fit... I messaged Treal before ordering on their web site asking them if a standard 1.0 tire would fit, and got no response from them at all. After a week of hearing nothing from them I ordered them anyway because I like how they look.
Cool, thanks for that. I wasn't sure since the Treal outside diameter is 1.22 inch and the inside diameter of the RC4WD tires is 1.00 inch. So both trucks don't have the same exact tires and wheels, I ordered one set silver / black beadlocks, and the other set silver / grey.
Nice. I have a customizable foam and weight kit for the 24's I'm working on. I already have 1.9" tire kits selling from Hobbytown, Cedar Rapids. Those little trucks need some real feel to them tires
@@deezway1169 okay, call hobbytown in Cedar Rapids Iowa....she doesn't have 1.9s listed yet. This next week I'm making the 24's sets a part of the product line. @@deezway1169 Thanks. That seems fair. It'd be cool to see another comparison after you've got them and maybe the KR3s also as those are the tires I'm interested in. Thanks.
Your going to run into clearance issues with the mud slingers on a stock jeep. The Patagonia’s run great on a stock Jeep’s !! That is one of my favorite setups!
@@deezway1169 which one is sticking more out? I dont to narrow the track of my little betty but still want nicer wheels and tires. Thanks for your answer!
I know these tire tests usually focus on how they grip rock. Have you any opinion for loose dirt use? I have a stock scx24 Deadbolt and ordered MT Claws. They seem like they would work better going forward in dirt than the Patagonia’s. Any ideas?
Just picked up a set up rc4wd wrangler mt for my scx24 bronco. Is there a certain direction these should be mounted. It’s like they are all left side tires if you run them what looks like directional going forward.
This has been a big issue/argument I always put the big lugs to the inside. But there are guys that tell me that’s wrong to the point of calling me names. Lol I have ran them every option you can and they make no difference on these little tires on my course. So I would say do what you think looks good to you and enjoy the hobby!!
Hi, It seem the Wrangler and Patagonia have the same compound X2S3. But it seem you mention the Patagonia feel better. I would think the wrangler would be better due to being a hair taller. So they don’t feel the same at all?
I haven’t had any issues as of now. My sons white jeep has stock motor and servo. He is not easy on it at all lol and no issues. But I have burnt up stock servos on stock set up so I would be looking to upgrade servo in future it makes a big difference in steering.
How can you possibly have a MOA FCX24? MOA stands for "motor on axle" & the FCX24 does not have two motors, one each mounted directly to the front & rear axles.
Would it be possible for you to send me measurements of the Rock Lizards? Those are the only ones I haven't been able to get my hands on, and I'd love to add those to my list - ccrcadventures.com/index.php/1-0-tire-comparison/
I agree, the Milestar Patagonias are in my opinion the best out of the ones I've tried 👍

My top 3 1.0" crawler tires are ....
#1 / JConcepts - 1.0" Ruptures 60mm in Green compound
#2 OGRC - Crawler Tires 55mm (Hyrax clones) super soft compound
#3 / Injora - Comp Pins 55mm in S5 compound
To be honest I would love to get the Patagonias for my Jeep but I really like the look of the fallen wild peak so I don’t know yet
I went with the Falkens purely bc its what I run on my "real" truck.
Some people say brush wd-40 on the tire treads with a tooth brush and let set and it makes them soft.
I soaked some tires in wd40 and they swole the tires up. It help a little bit but as soon as they get dirty the traction is gone
