Oh, I also want to warn you: there are some "fans" who will try to insist that you skip a certain episode. Just ignore these people and watch the whole series without letting these people change your perceptions. We want to see your honest reactions, in full, rather than conform to whatever some segments of the fandom think about certain episodes. If you go into it blind, you probably won't even think that one episode is "filler" or "bad" the way some people do. On my first watch, I had no idea that this perception existed among parts of the fandom and it just seemed like any normal episode of Avatar. I'm deliberately not mentioning the episode's title or where it comes in the series, because I don't want to affect your judgement. Just beware of this vocal minority that wants you to skip things. Watch everything and get the full experience of the show.
I’m almost 30 and this is still my all time favorite show! So happy to see a new wave coming in for the fandom! Also love to see you enjoying it together 🥰 I made my parents watch it last year and they loved it just as much ☺️ Yip yip! ⬇️🦬🩵
That is soooo wholesome. I keep telling my kids that I didn't spend as much time with my mom as they do with me. It is soo nice that your parents watched it too, these are the little things that bring families together ❤
Almost all the animals are a combination of 2 animals. Tiger-Seals Otter-Penguins Appa is a Bison-Manatee. It's a fun game figuring out every combination.
@@rasenganmaster101 Not starting out the characters with all of their flaws means they really can't grow as much, even if they decide to do that later on. I would have been much happier if they did the live action as a longer series, and didn't try to "update" it for "modern audiences" quite so much. There's this tendency with modern media to treat flaws as something that can't even be on display, even if they're treated as a negative in the story itself, because somehow that will offend people? But then there can't ever be a redemption story. It seems modern Hollywood writers don't believe in redemption at all, or don't think audiences are capable of forgiving. Do anything bad ever and you're canceled for life. It really hurts storytelling. Thankfully, the original animation has no problem with tackling flaws and letting characters overcome them, so we can get the full depth of character growth from the pilot to the finale.
what a cool idea! yall are going to L O V E this show. i was around his age when the show was airing and i wish i could watch it again for the first time. itll be cool to see how you both process and enjoy the show from your respective perspectives.
When you said you were going to watch these I thought you were going to see it off camera. Didn't know you were actually going to react to it. That's cool. I'm finishing book 2 right now before the live action show comes back for season 2. Hope I can do the same for book 3.
@@raphael_2d878 I may have misunderstood. Were you saying you planned to watch both seasons 2 and 3 before the live action comes back for season 2? Or were you saying you were going to watch season 2 before the live action season 2, and then watch season 3 before the live action season 3?
Hope you have fun with watching it as much as I do with watching your reacts 😄 I am happy you enjoy the live action too or even more, but for me, nothing comes close to the source material here
We will resume recording with Lucy next week, once the kids are back in school (they start on the 8th here in Spain). I know many of you are excited and have been patiently waiting to see us react together again, and we can’t wait to dive back in! Our current plan is to finish WandaVision, Dan Da Dan, and The Haunting of Hill House, as well as Squid Game Season 2. However, I won’t have a set schedule until we start recording again. In the meantime, I’ll also be recording more solo content. I want to watch The Godfather and explore how it portrays Italian culture and family dynamics and if you have any recommendations for shows or movies you'd like to see us react to-either solo or with Lucy-please let me know! I really can't wait to share all our reactions with you soon ❤
I am also done watching Squid Game S1 and at the moment it's going live every Monday and Wednesday. Once we start recording with Lucy I'll probably either replace one of the days or add a 4th day to the week but again, I can't really say until I review the recording schedule with her next week.
Zuko - 16 Sokka - 15 Katara - 14 Aang - 12 (112) Welcome to excellence. The live-action attempts will NEVER live up to the original. I kinda wish they could, but they won't. :D They took away all of Sokka's goofy humor and character growth. You know, the things that really made him a great character.
Thank you! Reading the numbers totally make sense as in the animation Zuko definitely looks older than Katara and Sokka while in the LA they all look like of the same age!!! And yeah, Sokka is also portrayed differently in the LA, definitely not as a goofy person!! I can’t wait to get to know them better with the cartoon now!
Now I am curious, where are you all from??!! You know I am Italian! I would have watched all the cartoons and the movies and TV Series in Italian if I were still in Italy! Now I just can't get myself to listen to anything unless it's in their original language! Even with Dan Da Dan, when we swapped from Jap to English it sounded sooo different, easier to understand of course but the voices aren't as creepy as in the original language at least!!

YESSUUUUUR avatar is goated, it will be amazing, it matures as it goes, which is very fitting for anyone that watches it at any age
The characters mature as well. The live action had to cut out all of the important character growth to tell an abridged story.
@@fakecubed it did a disservice cutting out the growth, if they continue the live action i hope they add it BACK in the next seasons

Immediately subscribing. Love the idea of you two watching this together

But if you spend your entire life somewhere, that's the temperature you're used to.

Let's goooooo! First season is the worst season, but it's a great season. This show just gets better and better as it goes on.
It's kinda weird to me to hear the original voices in English since I watch this one on my language.
