Adding the plastic MTB fenders, a front basket for my backpack, and some lights/a lock, it'd be an AMAZING townie and kiddo shuttle rig. Alas, the only bikes close to that are goofy small wheels, short wheelbase, or Class I. I'm not into Class I for around town. I wanna go with the speed of traffic, hence the 28mph desire.
I went and looked at that Marin- it’s almost a 70 degree head angle, and an absolutely tiny wheelbase (60mm shorter for a large). It’ll be nothing at all like the Stooge.
Soes ya know Jeff, our vintage rigids did NOT come with fancy stretched out geometry. Or lighter weight, wide internal width wheels and 3"+ wide tires. If you are stoked on riding the white line, then congrats to you! I have expressed my personal opinion about the white line only three times over the last few years, and it's nothing more than an opinion. It's OK to agree to disagree. Please don't let my opinion diminish your own accomplishment- we just have different contexts, and that's OK.
first?
Sure! Thanks Linus.
That might in fact be the ugliest bike I've ever seen.....
I never goin to trust a bike review from you, the bike dosent matter you can ride anything and make look like is a great one, i ride hardtail, but fully rigid and doing a lot of crazy stuff?
FACTS! This dude is so stupid good at bikes, he'd make riding a walrus on white line look fun and easy.
