    Another tip for lower levels. Sometimes, it's cheaper to recruit all recruits on the list than to reroll new recruits.

      Am I missing something? I just tried this and it still wants me to reroll for 500g after I hired all the low level workers.

    Mind blown. I was told to skip all multi trait workers since they're bad value, so this information will save me re-rolling costs. Thanks! Didn't notice it before you said it.

    Definately accurate I just hired a tier 5 worker in both shipping and farming and they were half the price per hour of another single tier 5 farmer alone. It's probably just randomised to a certain degree.

      yeah theres probably something else that effects the wage as well but i cant figure it out

    It seems to have something to do with what skills they have, not whether or not they have multiple skills.
    For example, a miner/mapper will almost always be quite a lot more expensive than just a miner, with the only exception maybe being high rank mining and like, rank 1 mapping. I have never found a high rank miner/mapper that is cheaper than just a miner at the same rank, the miner/mapper is usually always hundreds if not thousands of gold/h more.
    However, I have found many examples of multi-skilled mappers that are cheaper than single skilled mappers.
    So, what is likely going on here is that having multiple skills doesn't have anything to do with the wage ranges, rather the wage cost will be in a range based on the 'most expensive' skill the worker has. For this reason, unless you're going to be using someone that has a mapping skill as a mapper, you probably shouldn't hire them, as mapping is by far the most expensive skill.
    Farming, mining, and smithing all seem to be fairly close to the same cost range, so someone multi-skilled in any of those is probably fine to hire for any of those. Shipping tends to be higher cost than most skills other than mapping, so you are probably good to hire any multi-skilled shipper that looks cheap other than shippers that also have high rank mapping. And for mappers, anything goes, just look at their wage and worry only about that.
    Also, the wage you pay has nothing at all to do with their efficiency, that's easy to test by adding/removing workers from the various areas that are of the same rank but different cost, you'll see that all that matters on their efficiency is their rank, so always try to grab the cheapest workers you can get.

    • @jokerkhrono
      @jokerkhrono  3 месяца назад

      So with jobs, the only two that have a higher cost are mapping and disenchanting. All other workers have relatively the same cost, between 300 and 600. Any worker with those roles is going to cost more but once again, you are not paying for the job, you're paying for the worker. A higher-wage worker is just that a higher-wage worker. This is how you can have two workers with the same exact roles but different costs.

    • @whyismyhandleshown
      @whyismyhandleshown 3 месяца назад

      @@jokerkhrono yes, but since GGG assigned a higher cost to those multi job workers it kinda comes out to the same.
      I at least haven't seen a worker that simply had an additional job skill be cheaper than another one with the same main job level

    its not that multi trait workers are worse, its just that they have a chance to be worse, because if they have mapping or disenchanting as a secondary trait they can be a lot more expensive than they should be because the highest wage job takes priority

    Out of curiosity, have you found that using the small or big worker reroll is best for getting tier 10 workers?

    • @jokerkhrono
      @jokerkhrono  3 месяца назад

      if you need t7 or 8 workers the big reroll is the best but if you are just looking for t9 and t10 there seems to be no real difference

    Do you know how cost and work done relate? For smithing and mining you just need enough workers so they get done over the day, so I'm wondering which ones do so with least wages total.

      all worker tiers are more or less equally gold efficient. a level 10 miner will mine just as much ore per gold as a lower level one, he will just get it done faster and then go idle

  • @demi9571
    @demi9571 3 месяца назад

    This is a bad example that only applies if you want Map runners.
    TLDR: Grab that worker Jackolin Rosholt from 0:37 and put him to work as a miner. Look at how much you need to pay compared to other miners and you will understand the actual problem.
    Better example: I want 2 new miners. I roll 2 new miners both Rank 9. 1 costs 282/h. Second has a Rank 6 Mapping skill along with a rank 9 mining. He costs 821/h If i put both to work as miners i have to pay them those disparaging amounts.
