@@Mobscene_CDN starting at the top I guess lol Crit-based builds are almost always late-game, so the gear will typically be expensive. Inevitable Critical is only useful for skills where you attack less than once per second; otherwise, it does nothing and becomes a dead link. I’d consider using Leverage as a 6th link Harmonic Generator wastes too many points for what it provides. As for the three elemental nodes (Frost/Ignite/Shock), it depends on your tree. Investing in those nodes costs about seven passives for roughly 100% increased damage, which likely isn't worth it.

@@jokerkhrono Strange about Inevitable Critical. Sounds like it should build up crit chance until you crit, then once you do it resets again. Does it just reset every time you attack then or something?

@Mobscene_CDN The increased crit builds up as you might expect, but the main problem is that it is lost once you land a crit and ramps up very slowly. If you have decent crit chance (~25% or more) and are attacking at a rate of over 1 attack per second, you're most likely going to have crit recently, causing the buff to reset. This leaves you with, at most, a 25% increased crit chance, which isn't worth it compared to other supports that provide up to 30% more damage or more utility In my opinion. But if you're only attacking at 1 attack per second or have very low crit chance (around 10-15%), then you might benefit from it.

@@jokerkhrono Gotcha, thanks. Also figured I might mention you're using Subterfuge Mask which may be mostly wasted points with the Unique helmet. Doesn't come with much ES to benefit from that talent. I still feel a little squishy in mine, need to work out some more DR. That 8th Ascendancy point you have might help with that.

It really just depends more on if you wanna kill them faster or if you wanna buy your self more time to kill them ( Ice works against boss better). It doesnt matter really since you can get both soon

This video was made when Pconc was still pretty bad. Now, after the buff, it seems pretty strong.

i haven't checked out unique's really but that does sound pretty strong you could easily freeze with gas arrow

​@@jokerkhrono I will have fun trying to min max it on my side too. Thanks a lot for the video, it cleared out many doubts about poison dmg. I'm having a lot of fun with it! Taking above unique quiverwould mean dropping quiver bonuses from passives (since it has 10-15% reduced attack speed downside) . But 20% chaos dmg gained with all the modifiers on top of it might be a big boost. So far I also found that shooting more arrows at once greatly increases speed of poison buildup from gas arrow, it's a must (Dual bow or support gem that casues 2 more arrows to shoot). 2 arrows means double the speed of poison stacking on an enemy.

honestly for something like that you would have to play a chaos spell and use chaotic freeze

This is just incorrect. This implies Wither does not scale poison which very clearly does, on top of so much else.

@@tewkyelgn well go ahead and check your poison dmg numbers when you skill into increased chaos damage %, it does not change at all. Also wither increases the chaos dmg TAKEN by enemies, so there's a big difference. Keep wasting skill points if you don't believe me lul Edit: well if you scale your poison through an occultist bow instead of pure phys, then you would increase it, but scaling it not with pure phys is a big dmg minus imo

going acrobatics early feels pretty terrible, i wouldn't suggest it until you have at least 18k evasion

yes if you are using gas arrow as your main dmg extra arrows helps alot

Thank you! 😁 I plan on making one last video going over the final form of that character and explaining the swap. But TL;DR: Ghost Shrouds and Wind Dancer are just too strong. The amount of survivability they provide compared to being HP based and relying purely on evasion is insane

My view as well. You spend an obscene amount of points to go on that merry little trip that far up the tree. But 70% extra chaos dmg .... yeah you can find that much phys % dmg pretty easily and have points to spare.

So if I’m going for pure physical poison build I want to spec into increase damage with bows and projectiles aswell as poison nodes and don’t worry bout getting chaos dmg nodes? Right now I’m using poison burst arrow aswell as gas arrow.

@@danielnovak522 To me that is a mid-endgame build. You have to put quite a few points up there and frankly, I have had zero issues dropping shit without it. I would get them later once you have solidified your output and defenses. As you can always respec those points easily. Otherwise, you are spending a lot of points on +5 stats that you might not really need and not make your killing speed or survival any better unless you need a gear/skill breakpoint. It is one of those nice-to-have things but it can wait for a bit.

So in reverse, does that mean if I use cultist bow, things like magnitude and ailment magnitude does not affect the hit damage but only the tick poison damage?

@@jvlinatocfacebook Sounds correct. Magnitude increases tic damage, but not the hit damage. So your GA will get it's "hit" value. And then magnitude will increase the poison tic damage from that hit

@@jokerkhrono Have you tested the results of damage before and after wither on poison? I'm in the middle of building a poison ranger at the moment and this would change my build significantly. I also noticed you went around the projectile damage and didn't pick up fast acting toxics in your tree. When looking at the poison numbers in the stats, these do increase the damage, any reason you didn't go for them?

Primal Armament and Splinter it looks like. Just note that you need to be using the Plaguefinger gloves in order for Primal Armament to work with Gas Arrow

you get 100 from the campaign 30 in act 1 from king of the mist 30 from the bog witch in act 3 and 40 from that same witch in act 6 or cruel act 3

These people are expecting you to impress them to follow a build that's why POE 1 had so many copy paste builds.

Sorry, A lot of my damage comes from the Pure Chaos node, which gives you damage as extra Chaos. Since I recently upgraded my bow, I explain in my new video how it scales my damage and show the tooltip that might explain it better

the gas cloud does apply stacks it just seems to work alil werid so the first hit poisons and then its like a second or 2 after it applies another and repeats all the way to poison cap

@@alessandrolorusso4052 i just started over yesterday with a new ranger char cuz i wanted to get the full experience of using the lightning build. i can def say poison is slower and simply weaker due to the jumping animation from its power move. that animation is a big deal breaker

Yeah the RNG on that thing was pretty insane! But if you're going for a poison build, Pathfinder is going to win because of free poison proliferation and the double poison cap. For anything else, you'd want to go with Deadeye.

Yes and no. Base poison damage is based on 20% of your physical and chaos damage dealt. Having chaos damage on my bow allows me to scale much more easily because I benefit from nodes that grant % projectile damage more effectively, as it scales both the physical and chaos portions of my damage. For a physical bow to outperform what my current bow provides, it would need to have multiple hundreds of physical damage, which is insanely expensive right now.

@ Yeah I’ll have to mess around with that later. I found an awesome chaos bow and it made my poison dps on PB Arrow lose about half its value when looking at the skill gems information tab. Putting points into physical damage nodes instead or projectile damage nodes would be more effective to scaling physical damage/poison so I’ve just been doing that. If only it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg to respec I could test everything out easier lol.

​@@Hollowdub The main thing to keep in mind is that a chaos Bow is only better if it also has physical damage. Otherwise, the way you're doing it is fine.

@ Awesome, so for example a bow with 50/50 chaos/phys is equal to a bow with 100 in either stat? Also do projectile damage nodes scale your physical damage? ​@@Hollowdub Answering the questions is no problem; I knew a lot of new people would try PoE 2, so I assumed there would be questions. In your example, the bow with 50 physical and 50 chaos damage would be equivalent to a bow with 100 flat chaos or physical damage. A % projectile damage increase would apply differently: for the hybrid bow, it would add 10% to both chaos and physical damage, resulting in 50 + 10% for chaos and 50 + 10% for physical, while for the other bow, it would be 100 + 10%. This is where other multipliers make the hybrid bow superior. For example, taking a % chaos damage increase would scale not only the base hit but also the poison damage, as poison is chaos damage over time.
