This prosecutor was so arrogant and full of herself she actually helped Baldwin get off and still didn’t get where she went wrong. The former prosecutors she assigned to the case knew this prosecutor was off her rocker. She destroyed this case with her pride, when clearly the Judge did not want the Prosecutor to testify, for her own preservation and that of the case. However because the Prosector was so very prideful, it might take her a month to figure out that she herself, ruined her own case against Baldwin! What a pompous ass!

Baldwin’s attorneys had filed a last-minute motion to dismiss the case, arguing that the state failed to disclose what could be key evidence, something prosecutors denied. Judge Sommer dismissed the jury earlier today and, this afternoon, agreed that this key evidence was enough to end the trial.
“There is no way for the court to right this wrong,” Sommer said when making her ruling this afternoon.
“The state has repeatedly made representations to the defense and to the court that they were compliant with all their discovery obligations,” the judge said.
The case was dismissed with prejudice, meaning the case can’t be brought against Baldwin again.

In the Judges wording of she put word emphasis on "to ensure the INTEGRITY" of the judicial system and the efficient administration of justice". To me the emphisis was on the Lawfare overreach that has been exibited recently by the Justice Department and the N.Y. Court in the Trump cases.

That said, the prosecution's team hid evidence that could have exonerated him , so even if he is guilty of it, he's free because the proesecution acted with malice.

    • @discussioncorner

That's not how the legal system works because I'll repeat this again.
the prosecution's team hid evidence that could have exonerated him , so even if he is guilty of it, he's free because the proesecution acted with malice.
If you have any issues, it should be with the malicious actions of the prosecution. No matter how you feel about alec baldwin , he , like any other defendant deserves a fair trial.
And thus the prosecutions actions were not in that vein therefor he was freed.

The prosecution hid evidence in an attempt to nail Baldwin, and whether you like Alex Baldwin or not, the actions taken by the prosecution were unlawful and thus violated the process of law.
