I love how my hat turned out! Here’s a tip: if you like how the ‘raw’ edge looks but want it to draw in a little, go down a hook size for your last round and only chain one in the double v stitches in that round. Mine has just enough tightness and the stitches look just the same. Thanks, Fiber Spider, for the awesome tutorial!
Thank you! Actually I have a whole bunch of videos here - Crocheted & Knitted Hats: ruclips.net/p/PLocV9YYcJy2RS2j7A_MddYqTzFhYvuPyB Hope you like them and find them useful!
Took me a little more than an hour to do this.! Loved it! Right now I'm working on the Lotus Flower baby blanket. Wish we could post here because that's been on of the most beautiful and satisfying crochet projects ever.
Thanks Fiber Spider! Your instructions are so clear. I would like to make one for my granddaughter who is only 3 year old. Can you tell me how to do it,please?
My hat came out just perfect! And I have matching fingerless gloves all done with this stitch. I know it as the iris stitch! Today I learned it is also called the double V stitch, Thank you so much! ❤
They’re both beautiful, definitely going to make this one. I think I’ve made all your hats and some other things too. You’re a great teacher. Magic ring is driving me nuts but I’m going to get it one day. Lol
I love that the pattern starts right from the beginning. I think it looks more sophisticated. I would like to make this for myself, but also my granddaughters. Can you give me some ideas on how to size down to a 19-20” circumference? Beautiful hats!
I loved the look of this hat when I saw it, and finished a shawl pattern, had some left over, and made this hat listening to your tutorial the first time. I love it!! The lacy feel of it compliments my shawl pattern and it looks beautiful. Thank you for sharing, and I'm a new subscriber to your channel.☺️😉👍
Your tutorials are very good. Your photography is excellent because you perfectly close up on the stitching. we can see exactly what you are doing. I want a hat that doest not hug my head at all except at the brim. I need to know how many repeats of the 3 pairs of 2 dbl, ch2, 2 dbl in each ch 2 space are needed to get the next round of the pattern of 3 pairs of 2 dbl, ch 2, 2dbl and in the next ch 2 space 2 dbl, ch2, 2 dbl to come out correctly. I'm stitching with medium sized chenille yarn that requires a size P hook. Experimentation will ruin the yarn and thus is not an option. Is there a formula for figuring this out? Will six sets of 3 pairs of 2 dbl, ch 2, 2 dbl make the round three patterns come out correctly?
Hi fiber spider! My name is shelbie (my RUclips is under my grandma's email address) ... I don't know if you will see this comment, I'm just hoping you will ! But I absolutely appreciate your videos and in my 2yrs of committed crocheting, I have never found anyone who makes it SO EASY to follow along with their instructions in their videos.. I was wandering if you would be willing to do my a favor, if I show you a pattern I have really wanted to try, would you be willing to one day try to make your own video showing me/us how to make this blanket.. the video I seen does not have words or instructions (well if it does, I haven't seen them) and it's a very cool blanket pattern I really want to do, but can't figure it out 🤷♀️... please and thank you! I love your tutorials !
I love the idea of this stitch. The trouble I have with using it for a hat is that I live in a seaside town which gets quite breezy and a hat made with this stitch would not keep out the wind. I suppose I could look into the possibility of putting a lining in it. Has anyone any experience of lining a lacy stitch hat?
Awesome another hat🧶❤️ i started this month, making as many of your hats and shawls as possible. Had to stop to do a test, that is a real pill. But will start up again tonight or tomorrow..not as many done as I wanted to, but c’est la vie 🧶❤️

Not sure fiber spider is gonna see my message though 💕
I agree. I'm always recommending Fiber Spider's podcasts to every crocheted I meet.

Thank you! Just what I’m looking for. Is one ball of red heart super saver enough for this hat?
Yarnivores !!!!!! Made me giggle 😂 🎉

Gorgeous! How many balls of melange would you recommend for a hat and matching scarf??
(Even better - do you have a matching scarf pattern?)
My next hat
Done without the border

I have some bulky I can't find a project for... Could I start with 4 in first round and then follow? I'm inspired because this pattern is so easy.

About what size head will this fit? 21 to 22 inches?
I have about a 22" size head, fits me perfectly based on my tension and gauge.
Can you make a punch to match I would like to have that done thank you
