There is back button focus! To activate: open rear control panel, press right two buttons simultaneously. Then using the dial by the shutter button, click until the number on the LCD screen shows “4”. Then press the partial metering button (the right of the two buttons where back button focus would be) to complete. That same button is now back button focus!
Yep the EOS 630 and the EOS RT are the same except for the RT has the pellicle mirror and both are programmable. Great Camera. The 620 is NOT programmable.
The three bars you see when the camera is off isn’t a battery meter, its showing you there is film loaded. The battery check button is behind the flip door on the back.
Film Camera Reviews you’ll also find the LCD backlight capacitor will eventually fail and the battery will start draining. As long as you don’t mind losing the backlight it’s pretty easy to fix yourself, there are tutorials available online.
I used to have the EOS 600 (same camera) and one of the custom functions, leaves the film leader out of the cassette when it has been rewound. I had to take the top cover off my T90 and bridge two pads with solder, to do the same thing.
It auto detects with DX coding. But also has a way of overriding it to set the film speed manually. Although you will need to Google that as it's been a while since I did it. I always use the DX coding with this cameras as it's quite and easy

Picked up a 650 a few weeks ago. Plan on shooting with it for the first time this weekend.
Great stuff. Have a great weekend

That's clever ... If you ever do a video on the T90 mod. Let me know
Should I start my film journey with this camera? And what else what would I need?
what film should I buy for this camera?
I use Ilford xp2 400 film.. but it's good with any film really that you wish to use. For colour film I use Fuji c200 film usually
will it work with lenses such as the canon 16-35 f2.8 or the 70-200 f2.8 ?
Yes it should work fine as it's a proper EF mount camera
Does it auto detect dx code on film? Or should i manually select ISO?
