Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. Learning is possible when done carefully.
I think they should probe the tomb with high resolution cameras to see it what history says about the First Emperors tomb are correct. Maybe they can find where the actual entrance is located and then open it and send in robotics to find out where the traps are and measure what the atmosphere is like; all that Mercury probably made the interior pretty toxic for people unless they were in Hazmat suits. I think the opportunity to see the inside of this tomb is a captivating adventure for scientists and laymen alike. Go for it China you have the world on the edge of it seat on this one.
If there are cross bow traps etc inside, the hazmat suits are a bad idea , they have to be arrow resistance which means specially made, just have a robot trip all the traps.
Thanks for the upload.😁😁😁
I do not concede that archeologists have a right to descrate tombs just for useless curiosity.
Of course aslong as there isn't any Vandalism, theft or destruction in places where humans are interred! It's not like they'd be letting a bunch of kids in there.
@@davidb2331 I suspect, viewed from the perspective of the deceased and their families "vandalism, theft and destruction" would be a fair description of most archaeology. I suspect the length of time between internment and non consensual exhumation makes any fundamental difference to the moral issues. The uncovering of pretty baubles equally is a poor justification. After all, despite the hubris of the media, the public does NOT have a right to know.
No one asked
@@kevinmellett9185 you are right, no one asked. Because no one thinks anymore. We are at an age where people have ceased to care for what is right and speaking out for truth.
Shut up
Why not leave him to rest unviolated,or is the allure of treasure to strong?Like the egyptians instead of eternal rest they wind up in glass cases in museums.
why don't they send tiny robots or key hole cameras.. this is silly.. not to open it..
Becauae it has already been looted by the corrupt.
I agree, they could also use drones
If it's sealed the structures can suffer damages once in contact with the air. That's what happened with the terracotta soldiers and all the other statues... When they entered into contact with the air all the pigment they used to have fell apart.
@@yeahhsupergirl Even locales like Pompeii have suffered damages from the ignorance & disrespect of tourists.
@@yeahhsupergirl why not create a vaccume with no air?
THANK YOU SCIENTISTS MAKE EASY LIFE FOR HUMANITY
Why do you repeat the same information over and over again? This video could’ve been much shorter.
Well archaeology assists understanding of the past.
Something past needs understanding? What of present and future? Perhaps your standing is in deficit.
Typical of someone who has no idea. Don’t take the Chinese for fools. They know exactly what they are doing.
Well said.

Naw that’s God
Why do scientists keep opening tombs? They are sealed for a reason. Leave them alone.
The thumb nail/link in my feed shows an Egyptian sarcophagus, still in the tomb, surrounded by Egyptian artifacts. Nothing Chinese about it. Very stupid error.
Do you think the mercury rivers mummified then to make them an immortal army?
However it was looted in the song dynasty and took over 50,000 men a month to loot it
new world people... send in the ROV's!
GREAT
Y not use robot
Open it.
Yes sir. On it
Absolutely. Yes. Mysteries are made to be solved
Send In robots.
The music makes it hard to listen to the story
Not impressed
for me,don't disturb the tomb.
Use robots 😮
Do not open find another way
That's not possible. An silly not to open the tomb.
The ego of this Emperor is something else.
But without him, china would never exist
AI scripts are so annoying. Thumbs down.
Why do all the Terracotta Army have a big lump on their head? Is that how they died.?
I think it's a Man Bun. Long hair tied in a Bun.?
its a hat , sheesh.
@@snarky4lyfe144 Hair bun, not a hat.

HINDI BA DAPAT SINUSUNOG YAN?
The archeologists are afraid of seeing the same damage that was caused when they first unearthed some of the terracotta warriors when right before their astonished eyes, brilliant colours painted on the statues uniforms and clothing vanished, turning into a greyish, non-descript colour on being exposed to sunlight and oxygen. Only tiny flecks of colours remained that gave them any clues what their original colours were like. There may also have been wall paintings and other art works, that have similarly vanished forever.
They do not want to see the same thing happen. Archeologists have learned over time that invasive unearthing techniques have destroyed traces of a past that we want to keep in order to learn what was. The discoveries are not just to create a show for the curious. It is for serious learned studies of the past.
I remember going to the petrified forest in Arizona and seeing the damage that was done in the early 1900s when it was first discovered. Curious explorers had used even dynamite to blast open the tree trunks trying to find if there are any valuable gemstones to be extracted from within. Then again, I have also read of the huge amount of physical damage that was done to several Egyptian Pharoah tombs by the early archeologists in ways that we would attribute to the works of vandals by modern standards.
Archeologists of today do not want to repeat the same mistakes of the past. It is not in fear of any booby traps set by Emperor Qin Shih-huang as any wooden weapons would have long deteriorated over 2,000 years nor fear of mercury poisoning as hazmats with oxygen masks can be worn. Rather, it is the fear that the introduction of air from the outside and light would damage whatever artifacts there are inside the tomb. Even the introduction of robots and spy cameras would cause outside air to enter and they want to avoid doing that.
The size of the artificial mountain that encase the whole of the emperor's tomb is formidable and trying to seal it completely off while yet allowing for archeologists to enter and start excavating work is beyond the Chinese archeologists capability at this time. The technology is not yet available or created to handle a site as immense as this and so, they and the world, has to wait - frustratingly so though it is.
I confess that seeing the actual tomb would be a scientific dream to see, but I am grateful the Chinese government has been diligent protecting the site.
I hate to deflate all of you but that picture was an Egyptian sarcophagus I guess you you think we are all stupid and can show anything, and class it as anything mmmmm
Only d terrakorta r chinese soldiers that died in war take back 2 reconnized d face then debone use d flesh mince blend in clay 2 make d replica of same look n size of d actual soldier.
Get professionals modern and old technology and figure out what are the possibilities of the traps and then circumvent. Carefully not to destroy.
Why could the archeologists not use the new lidar, ground penetrating radar that brings a clear picture of whats hidden under ground?!?!.
Chinese i understand are waiting for the technology to advance , eg 1800s archeology would use dynamite to get access 1900 reconstruct in concrete any missing bits so even now much has been lost searching for gold and statues.
He did not know that mercury was poisonous so the mercury could not be a deterrent devised by him. Besides the mercury being heavier than soil would have seeped away through the porous soil. Fear of other traps is more likely but unlikely as there are so many ways to inspect the tomb and it's contents without actually digging open the mound. Fibre optics and miniature drones are the go these days inspect dangerous locations.
I'm surprised that no one has formulated a story about a " curse ", even in the 21st century people buy into that ignorance.
Chinese superstition
I want to see what's inside
The guy narrating repeats himself too many times
Your video is a mess. You include photos from other places and later emperors.
The reason for not opening the tomb its about not having the knowledge of how to conservate the findings. Because of the traps!!! What a joke .

Too much drama for just this man. 🤔
The narrator's pronunciation of "Qin Shi Huang" is not consistent at all. At times he gets it just about right, and than suddenly it rolls out the tongue completely wrong. LOL. It reminds of that one narrator who say's "Cao Cao(Tsao Tsao)" and than mistakenly says "Chow Chow" here and there through out the who video.
Very interesting and perplexing. In scales and grandeur, one has but to acknowledge the greatest civilization on earth, the Chinese people.
Funny about mercury rivers… How ancient Chinese could create and fill up underground “ rivers” with liquid mercury? Few drops causing death 💀. So possible future exploration will find just mercured skeletons of workers…who tried to create mercury rivers…
I bet what is in that tomb is fascinating. I think it is wonderful they are being careful not to ruin it. But I sure wish they could drill a hole and insert robots and or drones, take a look around, and then seal it up again.
Just a few days ago, they located his son's tomb..he was buried in the same tomb as his father....so this documentary is just entertaining not factual
when i surched up the tomb it showed this with a Egyptian tomb hood try but i have a brain
Chin XiHuang means Chin First Emperor.

An xray should be taken to see if its real human or craved idol.
