I think that Qin Shi Huang was both a visionary, great leader and a tyrant. I do agree that yes to create the China we know today was very bloody and merciless because of all the wars he had to start to unite all the different kingdoms into one nation called China. But if he had not created the Great Wall or created China it would be very hard to tell China and Mongolia apart.
And there would be no People’s Republic of China as we know of today. I love China (The Land of the Dragon🐉) and I look forward to learning about more people from China in the future. Long Live China🇨🇳

This documentary is good but the producers should take note of the following:-
    1) the narrator pronounces Chinese names of people/places in an anglicised style which makes it difficult to understand who/what place he was referring to.
    2) I wonder why it was necessary to show a living person's face, especially his/her eyes when these are unrelated to the person under discussion.
For this reason I only managed to watch 18 mins of the 1 hour-long docu. The long focus on the eyes of a living person was unnerving to watch Lolz 😅.
The above points are simply my opinion so it doesn't matter if the producers do not agree with me. Just continue doing it the way you like as there are other documentaries I feel more comfortable watching. Thank you.

A great video about the history of Qin Shihuang. The dream of China unification had been handed down by the king of Qin his own great Grand father Zhaoxing to establish a lasting peace in the whole of China. Zheng er might have been the most self driven and capable king of Qin but he was also the most ambitious. Without his drive, intelligence and perseverance China would not have been United in less than a decade. The unification of China brought the end of wars between the kingdoms and established a great country which has become the engine for the development of the whole world.

One gotcha. Quite the contrary. The scripts unearthed at the judge's tomb made people rethink Qing's description as this tyrannical empire by future dynasties. As the ability to buy one's way out of harsh punishment and hard labor instead of capital punishment was much more lenient and productive for the society as a whole than harsher punishment of future dynasties.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Qin Shi Huang of China? I thought not. It's not a story the Westerners would tell you. It's a Eastern legend. Qin Shi Huang was a the first emperor of China, so powerful and so brutal, he was able to unify all of China, and then forced them to make... The Great Wall. He had such an oppression of Confucianism, that he even burned books to keep that religion from speading. Absolute power is a pathway to many actions most consider to be unethical. He became so powerful... the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he told his alchemists everything he feared, only for his alchemists to poison him with their potion. It’s ironic. He’s searched for an elixir of life, only for it to bring him death.
