Stick a little ball of blue-tac in the bottom of the wells holding the half pans. Keeps them from jumping at you when you open the palette and it will eliminate the tic-tac noise.
I bet you could put little pieces of double sided tape on the bottom of the pans to stop them from moving. I used to use it to frame my paintings (bc I live an hour away from any craft store) and it's pretty resistant to water.

Well, with tube paint you have to let it dry or it'll go everywhere. If you buy something like W&N half pans, they have little blocks inside of the pans and while it moves around, it'll stay in the pan unless you drop it on the floor or something. If you're worried, I suggest the paper towel! 8D!!

You could use some blue tack and stick down the half pans! You wouldn't have to worry about the pans moving around and making noise then :)

You should use removable glue dots to stick your pans in the palet ^^ Or even small beads of blue tack you know
