    Ok, I've had this problem twice and I know how to resolve it. Take the vacuum off the charger and make sure it is switched to on. Hold the clean button for about 10-20 seconds and the robot will turn off completely. Then put it back on the charger base and switch it off and back on. After this it will start charging again properly. (Hopefully I can find this post so I can do this next time is does this again. Last time was 2 months ago and I had forgotten how to reset the bot.)

    Oooooo weeeeee!! What a lil patience will do! Phew!! I CAN’T BELIEVE IT!! It only did that strange beep coz it was ABSOLUTELY drained. Just bear the pain of listening to that annoying beep for about 10 minutes and suddenly it stops… back to normal quiet charging. Aaah the lovely sound of silence 😌. Good to know after 1 year of no use I can resurrect this poor robot.

    I unscrewed the small screws along the bumper. Cleaned behind it, screwed it back together and now it works perfectly. I bought 2 new batteries from eBay that I don't need.

    ANSWER: If the beeping continues after all of the troubleshooting suggestions below, it means the battery needs to be replaced. Just happened to mine: contact iLife and they told me a I could get a replacement battery on Amazon for $25. I ordered it and now my vacuum works again...!!

    Mine just did this and it made me so mad and when I would leave it on a kept trying to vacuum so the bumper had a few screws loose and I couldn’t figure out how to screw them back in so Ipulled bumper out slightly and put rubber bands on both sides and it stopped I definitely am not buying another one it would not charge without beeping one or off directly or to the dock it’s definitely a bumper issue and I’m not a man so I’m not gonna take it apart and break it The beeping was so annoying there’s no way I could listen to that for four hours straight every single day seemed to stop the beeping hope that helps because I couldn’t find anything

    I have exactly isue! Chinise robot a320. My case was:
    i replace my old original battery with new diy li-ion 3800mah battery. But first i don't solder termal resistor from orijinal pack, directly to robot conectors for him, just put termal resistor with fast conectors. On second charge, my robot make exactly beepings! Then i open robot and soldering termo resistor to conectors! Now evreting is fine! Just be shure that your battery paks make good conections with robot inside!!!

    Mine stopped charging all of a sudden. I've tried all suggestions although it was not same issue. It has refused to charge for 2 weeks now. I was charging into port and not on base as I have animals that move it. Today I put it on the base to charge to see if it is the port on robot. This happened once before when the battery ran down. But it started charging after a few hours. Is it time to write the company? It is less than a year old.

    hello, my robo is ilife v7 plus and it is doing exactly the same as yours, how did you manage to solve it?

    • @GerryMulvenna
      @GerryMulvenna  Год назад

      Hi Flavia - I woudn't say I have solved it, but there was a glimmer of hope when I dismantled the front bumpers, pulled lots of hair and fluff out of that area, gave the sensors etc. a good clean and reassembled the bumpers. It recharged itself without any interruptions for one time afterwards.
      I also find that it is more likely to avoid the "unsettled recharging" behaviour if it has only been hoovering on laminate floorboards and not carpet.

      @@GerryMulvennahello. I sent an email to the supplier and he replied the following:
      "Please unplug the cable of the start button board without installing the start button board, use the adapter to charge the machine directly, and see if there will be an alarm sound during the charging process.
      After fully charged, use the remote control to start the machine (the cable for starting the key board is still not installed at this time), and see if the machine can be used normally"
      So my husband did what he asked: he opened the robot, removed the power cable connector and it charged normally with the power button disconnected. So my husband cleaned the connectors and put them back in and magically it worked perfectly again! If it didn't work with the power button connected, it would still be possible to use it only with the remote control, but without this button. Hope this helps.
      Sorry for the translation I'm speaking from Brazil and using google translator

      Hi DCyF - I think you might get some resolution, by taking off the front bumber and removing any dirt and cleaning sensors.
      My robot in the video has been resurrected and is charging silently for the first time ever. I'm in a different house now and it seems to fair better on the wooden floors, in terms of charging without beeping.

      @@GerryMulvenna hi Gerry. Thx for replying. I have started already opening the whole robot and damn I never saw so many pethair together 🤣🤣. I have cleaned inside and think removed most of it. What I can not remove and clean are the front sensors. The click system is hard. And I am afraid I will damage the electronic parts. Any suggestions or maybe you saw a video for this model?
      I really hope it is because of the front sensors are blocked some way.
      It is strange that as soon as I connect the battery the robot start to beep continuously without stopping.

      @GerryMulvenna  5 лет назад +1

      Unfortunately all the fixes I have tried have failed.
      iLife sent me components all the way from the Far East and the first batch were the wrong parts and I successfully replaced the components sent the second time, but it made no difference whatsoever.
      I have just tried Narendra Persaud's solution (hold the Clean button for 10-20 seconds, then switch on and off). At first it looked promising, but then it started to beep again while charging. It is doing so while I type now. I also tried taking the battery out for a long period to no avail.
      I may just have to accept that it will be noisy and needs to be off when charging. It performs its vacuuming function quite well.

      I did the following process and at the moment it works well:
      1. I removed the battery for 1 hr and put it back.
      2. Clean all the sensors and the bumper sensor.
      3. Place the robot to be charged but the switch off.
      4. Wait for 100% load but did not, and started the same lighting process, leave it for 12 hrs off without charging and shutting down.
      5. I turned it on and I work well, at the moment.
      I think the reset should be for a few hours, it may be coincidence I do not know, but until now it works.
