    This was very useful. Thank you. I'll tried that with mine. It stopped charging a bit ago and I didn't want to buy a whole new unit.

    thanks Wayne I haven't turned mine on in awhile and it was on charge all night then did exactly what yours is doing. SIGH off to buy a new battery by the looks as nothing in the manual to say what this orange and red light means ! Hope batteries are not expensive . This is not an old unit I've hardly used it.

      @@DIYwithWayne No receipt. She tried to return it anyway but no luck. I know a new battery will make it work and it will make her happy, but I don't know how frequently it will chew through batteries. Maybe I should've bought a whole new vacuum instead.

    Hi Wayne. Hows the new battery holding up after a year has passed? Did the new battery run as long as the original battery? Do you still recommend the battery you linked to in the description? Thanks!

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  Год назад +1

      Fingers crossed.....still going strong. Not sure how long it will last, but the original battery lasted a couple of years. We usually only run the Vacuum once a week, between deep vacuuming. We have mostly hardwood floors. Hope that helps. Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

    how long do these batteries last? idont know if I have to replace it because it only works for a few minutes now, or if it will be something else

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  11 месяцев назад

      Our original battery lasted about a year or so. I think it depends on how often and how long you use your vacuum. It sounds like your battery might need replacing. Make sure it is showing fully charged before you start it. Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

    Where do we get the batteries for this ?

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  Год назад +1

      There are a lot of places online (like Amazon) where you can order them and most areas will have a local business that sells batteries Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

    How can we test the battery in order to know how much power does it have left?

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  11 месяцев назад

      I don't know of any way to test this. If it starts running slower, having trouble going to it's base, or doesn't want to start, then it's a safe bet your battery is dying. Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

      It sounds like the control part is bad. You could call the manufacture but most likely you will need to replace it.. Sorry, thank you for visiting and have a great day.

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  11 месяцев назад

      It would be inside but I have never opened that part. Sorry I can't help more. If you don't find screws, it most likely snaps together.

    Mine is brand new, I haven’t used it one time in a year. I just took it out of the box yesterday & the battery dies as soon as it leaves the charging station.

    • @DIYwithWayne

      Check to be sure the battery is connected correctly. If so, it is likely bad and needs to be replaced. Good luck with your project and have a great day.

      Without having it, I can't say why it is dead but the battery is a likely source of the problem. Good luck with your project and have a great day.

      Oh. I turned it on. I watched another video showing the on/off switch on the bottom. There is another in the top to get it going, i mistakenly thought that was the power switch. Now it works great.
