  • Do you have a vacuum that won't charge? This is a common problem with rechargeable devices that is easily fixed! In this video I will explain the symptoms of a bad battery and how to go about getting the correct replacement. Replacement is easy on most devices and this is a very common problem with most small devices with a rechargeable battery. If you have a rechargeable device that suddenly won't work after being on the charger for an adequate amount of time, it is probably a problem with the rechargeable battery. Usually replacing the battery will fix this issue. Replacing the rechargeable battery generally is a lot less expensive than replacing the device.

    This was very useful. Thank you. I'll tried that with mine. It stopped charging a bit ago and I didn't want to buy a whole new unit.

      I'm about to replace a battery for my grandmothers smart clean robo vac 2000. The battery was bad out of the box... I hope it won't be a waste of money

      @@logancapes Can you return it for a replacement? If so, that's what I would do. Good luck.

      @@DIYwithWayne No receipt. She tried to return it anyway but no luck. I know a new battery will make it work and it will make her happy, but I don't know how frequently it will chew through batteries. Maybe I should've bought a whole new vacuum instead.

    Hi Wayne. Hows the new battery holding up after a year has passed? Did the new battery run as long as the original battery? Do you still recommend the battery you linked to in the description? Thanks!

      Fingers crossed.....still going strong. Not sure how long it will last, but the original battery lasted a couple of years. We usually only run the Vacuum once a week, between deep vacuuming. We have mostly hardwood floors. Hope that helps. Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

    how long do these batteries last? idont know if I have to replace it because it only works for a few minutes now, or if it will be something else

    • @DIYwithWayne

      Our original battery lasted about a year or so. I think it depends on how often and how long you use your vacuum. It sounds like your battery might need replacing. Make sure it is showing fully charged before you start it. Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

    Where do we get the batteries for this ?

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  Год назад +1

      There are a lot of places online (like Amazon) where you can order them and most areas will have a local business that sells batteries Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

    How can we test the battery in order to know how much power does it have left?

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  5 месяцев назад

      I don't know of any way to test this. If it starts running slower, having trouble going to it's base, or doesn't want to start, then it's a safe bet your battery is dying. Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

      It sounds like the control part is bad. You could call the manufacture but most likely you will need to replace it.. Sorry, thank you for visiting and have a great day.

      @DIYwithWayne I tried to open it but couldn't open it lol where's the controller part?

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  6 месяцев назад

      It would be inside but I have never opened that part. Sorry I can't help more. If you don't find screws, it most likely snaps together.

      Without having it, I can't say why it is dead but the battery is a likely source of the problem. Good luck with your project and have a great day.
