I actually think the two seniority lists dovetailed. Carolina Drivers had more seniority because they were in Baltimore years before . Many ABF Drivers laid off when two barns merged.
It was actually Carter that deregulated trucking. You also failed to mention how much Yellow employees gave back to the company over the past 20 years. They took a 15% pay cut, gave back a week of vacation and the company only paid 25% of their pension. Other wise on point thank you for putting it out there.
I was in the LTL industry for a long time. This is all hearsay, but I remember the talk about YRC's 2009 bailout was partially because they were "too big to fail." I heard that supposedly all the other LTL companies together couldn't handle YRC's massive volume were they to go out of business back then. Hearing that they were only delivering 7% of the nation's freight in 2023 is quite mind blowing.

I'll agree with that. Huffa jr worked hand in hand with YRC. He handed them what ever they asked for and they handed him back money. But Brother Sean O'Brein who is a true Teamster has not worked with them that way.
Not true. Yellow owned other union companies they were very profitable, such as New Penn. A union company that always had an operating ratio in the mid 80's, until Yellow took over. Quality control and Return On Investment (ROI) is a function of management. Check the facts before the union gets all the blame

Same here our tm, steward, and union representative haven’t gave me my walking papers. Shit not even a phone call.
What is a teamster?
Hard working men and women driver dock men and office people 😊
My dad, who was a driver for Yellow in the 80s and 90s, is rolling in his grave. He would be so angry about all of this.
YRC was the last of the orginal big 3 ltl carriers that went under. They lasted 99 years.
I love getting the news from you! I wish you posted more to RUclips.
One other thing: South Bend Indiana Holland freight drivers were never notified by letter nor by phone call from Yellow.
Yellow has maybe a dozen new trucks in their fleet their shit is from the 90s

Get your facts straight. There were 30,000 total employees at YRC. 20,000 were unionized.....
Wow! Thank you for a great summary of the facts and your interpretation of the facts- Union Busting.
The teamsters should buy it in bankruptcy and run it.
They can but will they is the question, can also run it as a CO OP
the union would drain it dry.
Make it a worker CO OP that brings Democracy to the work place. Or you don't like Democracy?
cant because the owner, apollo capitail management, wanted to pull a CF and bust the union.
