To answer some questions or comments: A driver can run off their class' index or a quicker one of their choosing. The handicap start is the difference between the two cars. It's early in the day before the crowd arrives to see the big cars run. The winner has a row of flashing lights above their scoreboard. There were at least four manual cars. When two cars of the same class meet, the handicap is dropped and they run heads up. There were a few of those. If the "slow" cars had any sort of an advantage over the "fast" cars, why was only one entered? Thanks for reading.
Awesome job , glad it was just starting line action and not burnouts . The footage is awesome ! I am in Michigan and used to live out in So. Calif. . I miss going to see the Stock and Superstock classes at Pomona
@@seankennedy131 Pomona has a ton of cars also and they did the world finals and the Winternationals there . I knew people that raced in several classes , and did work on some of them , so it made it more fun when you know people on the track . Otherwise dial in / bracket racing is boring as hell . I have done it myself but heads up racing is the best . The Stock and Superstock "Class" runoffs are happening , it's the best ever , no dial ins , just heads up . I don't make it to many tracks these days , and that is why I really appreciate movies from them .

That first race sucked! They used to do that at Carlsbad, Let some 18 sec car run for the big money, the faster the car the harder it is to be consistent and the turds can run the index while they read the paper behind the wheel.

Dude just go see them at the US nationals. Sooo many more cars and a huge class eliminations day.
