I have one and I'm happy. Also Injora Wrangler Hardbody on it and works great. Changed Suspension. Everything was greased. Gearing with Fusion 1200 SE ist top, put the Transmission a few mm backwards to fit it. Changed the shocktower to some SCX10 ii ones.
I bought one of these. Complete chassis/No axles version. Coupled it to an Axial straight axle conversion kit. 55 turn brushed, giant 3C. It works and has not broken(2 yrs now). I disassembled and greased TF out of everything. Not a basher but has lasted with normal wheeling. Heavy AF! Transmission is more for trail trucking than serious crawls but will do it.
The ride side of the drive line, it's the overdrive. I got the same one as yours, and it's lovely. To fit 550 or fusion pro, you'll have to customise the servo mount
I’ve built that same chassis a year ago with a hardbody for my niece. It does better than you would expect put Holmes Hobbies motor in it and you’re good to go.
I have the same transfer case in aluminum. Was surprised about the overdrive. Everything on this truck looks reasonably good for the price. Well except the shocks.
Very nice breakdown. I have used a very similar transfer case from injora that has an aluminum case. Has worked fantastic in my 8x8x8. So far have been pretty happy with injora transmissions and transfer cases running brushed motors. Do have one with a fusion 2300 that is doing great
I got this very chassis for a Dakar truck build (440mm wheelbase!!). Those are a bit more speed-based, but hopefully your claims on the "bushed" planetary gears won't be the case... here's hoping!
the hardbody is pretty solid in my opinion, plus theres a fantastic selection of colors! I’ve seen some folks buy the white ones and then sand em down for custom painting. the only complaint I got with the injora hardbody is if you wanted to mount the motor/transmission in the center, you’d have to do some chopping on the driverseat maybe the center console for a good fitment. the detail on the hardbody’s insides are damn good too
I got the exact set up with grease the transmission holds up great .I have had mine over a year no problems but I had to put portal axles on mine 2300 fusion pro 2nd gear way to fast. Even with portals very fast in 2nd but crawlable in first. The shocks are junk
I know you had said that you was going to try to videos every day I I would recommend that I'd say three a week be the max keep yourself from burning out another great win Joe thank you
I elected not to cut the body for the rear shock towers. Instead I cantilevered the shocks, and 3d printed a battery tray that sits lower in the frame. For mounting the body I used magnets. Doing so gave it a more realistic look.
But it looks like its possibel counterrotating axels because there is a second transfercase outdrive rotate opposite you need only a reverse rotating axelgear rear.
You're killing me bruh. Just finished the one speed build. Just fit. Barely. So.. naturally I bought the 2 speed. That's like 10 trucks this year because of you. Also wondering if you will be linking to Amazon Canada with vendor links. So you get a piece.
Ihave a question please. What is the size and thickness of the washer that goes between the motor and the planetary, please. Mine came without. Seller won't help.
I had to shave my motor shaft just a hair to get it to fit right without binding when I put the two screws in the top an bottom to hold the motor in place
What size prop shaft did you use I've bought same kit but without the axles i have a pair of portal axles on the way its 2 to 3 week delivery to the UK i was just wondering 🤗
@@gordonwright85 I put a axial 27 turn motor and I put the hobbywing fusion SE 2n 1 they both had to have the motor shaft shaved on the very end of the shaft as they are just a hair to long and to get the hobbywing fusion SE to fit you will need to move your front bumper and servo mount up a hole pretty sure I have a vid showing that part I bought the same without axles because I had a set of portals already for it I love it tho the gearbox is very smooth and quite
I used this chassis with a 3D printed TJ body. It was a slow and ponderous truck due to the weight of the body. Was since PLA isn't fall off a bridge resistant. A Cliffhanger body is on the way which should take care of the issues with the current body 😉 I do have a quick question about the front upper link. Mine is being ground down by the driveshaft. I see yours is mounted like mine and will probably rub also. Amazon's listing shows the link mounted to the opposite frame rail from our trucks. Anybody see an issue with doing the same?
Hi Joe! Your channel is up there with the best of them for sure. Ive said it before, you are born to do this. I was just wondering why you don't do any NITRO RC stuff. There are many fans of both out there like myself! The NITRO RC community would love to have you be a part of it I'm sure! What are your thoughts about it?
Chassis mounted servo = BUMP STEER , i had this chassis , sold it , got the Absima Sherpa FULLY BUILT FOR 300 pounds instead !!!!! portals , diff locks etc
Is there any way to fit a fusion pro 2300kv in that chassis? Do you think going with an axle mounted servo would leave enough clearance for the motor when the shocks are fully compressed?
I was able to run an axle mounted servo but I had to use a spektrum s6245 I had to make a plate under the servo Mount to push the servo on the axle a little bit forward than I useed the holmes hobby revolver motor because of the short length..it's a straight beast on 2.2 proline hyracks
They're great for basic imprecise things, tyres, wheels, LEDs, brass, etc. The moment you require any precision at all, injora just falls over. Gears are always machined badly with camber/off-center, even a lot of their brass require extra filing, drilling and messing around just to fit. In a chassis with this much moving parts? Going for injora is just masochism.
That's what I was going to send you for free. But you wasn't interested in a front motor rig. Should have hit me back up would have saved yourself some money. I was going to donate it.
I had a set of those shocks that come on this chassis. They didnt leak but no matter how much locktite i used the piston shaft would always unthread from the shock end. absolute junk
I was a bit surprised on your in depth info on this chassis. I like & own many Injora products. My mind is always open to new stuff. It seems this chassis has some merits. But the funky sun gearing looks like an overthought. A power robbing, bearingless, non regearable POS!! And not much hope for back yard re-engineering! I’ll pass Injora…..
What is your overall opinion of this truck? Does it compete with the known brands? I built an injora lcg rig and I love it so far but I don’t have any real experience with the popular brands. For everything I’ve ordered so far of injora they seem to be decent quality specially for the prices.
How come the most winds I can find in HH 540 Cralmaster Expert was 21t and the OEM axial Capra motor was 35t. I thought the more turns the more torque. I hate electricity/electronics, it's inconsistent as hell.
Congratulations on your first Retirement Truck 🛻.
I have had one for about a year now, I love it.
This is great! I just got one of these for an all custom build and I wanted to get inside both gearboxes to lube them properly. Thanks!
I’ve got the same chassis! I enjoy it a lot….was a fun build! I was amazed how quiet the driveline is …very stealthy!
I’ve built quite a few trucks using this exact platform for the price I think these things are great for scale builds with the motor dead center .
I want it. I don’t care what anyone says. I’ve got a bunch of injora stuff on my crawlers and it’s all good 🤷♂️
Hi Joe well I'm impressed looking forward to seeing it run and how it holds up. Thanks for sharing Sir. Have a great week 🇬🇧🇺🇲🕊️✌🏼🤩👍🏼
I love looking inside of transmissions and transfer cases. I learned a lot watching this. I think I am ready to get my first crawler.
Oh, congratulations on retirement Joe!👍👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks fir all your help at Beat the Creek truck is up and running again and not melting anymore!
Great teardown! I built a truck off that Injora 313 a couple months ago. I found the diff internals were interchangeable with Axial AR44 parts

I have this rig from 1 year and I absolutly love it...... actually more than my TRX4.
Looks to be made just as good or better than anything else
I have quite a few pieces from Injora and they're all nice, you always get more than what you paid for
Congratulations on your retirement brother🎉

4:40 thanks for the tip on overdrive
now my injora rc crawler can climb 😃
Congrats joe on retirement you made it and now get to do what you love
👀👀 I didn’t even know about this one 👊🏾😎 thanks Rcfam for sharing
Nice tear down video. Like a mixture of high end and budget vehicles.
I’ve always been interested in that chassis! Can’t wait to see it on the rocks.
Nice breakdown Joe, cant wait to see the finished product 👍😊
I have the same transfer case in aluminum. Was surprised about the overdrive. Everything on this truck looks reasonably good for the price. Well except the shocks.
Cool little Rig that is going to be badass with that Hard Body on it. 👍🏼
I've been on the fence for awhile about this kit . can't wait to see you run it . Congrats on your retirement love your videos
Very nice breakdown. I have used a very similar transfer case from injora that has an aluminum case. Has worked fantastic in my 8x8x8. So far have been pretty happy with injora transmissions and transfer cases running brushed motors. Do have one with a fusion 2300 that is doing great
Haven't seen that second output before. How does it work. I mean what can it be connected to.
@@cheagle464 you use it to run an independent drive shaft to more axels
It was the first time I knew that the sash came out of Inzora. If it is 313mm, many bodies will be compatible.👍👍👍
You could install a portal in front and use the counter rotation in that transfer case.
Looking forward to it!! THE body too 👍👍
I found the rear of the chassis is a touch wider than my scx10. Otherwise everything swapped over. Using one for a k10 build. So far so good
looks cool but I worry about spare parts availability a few years from now.

Thanks Joe, been looking at this chassis, can't wait to see it run. Might be my next build haha.
Looks like it is built quite well.
thats the same hard body i got! cant wait to see what mods you put on it!
Let’s see it drive 😊
This is good durable and strong transmission I only have a few trucks I been using this and and with a little finagling a 550 can fit.
Watching to see your opinion. on this one joe .Congratulations on your retirement Joe .now more time for RC VIDEOS And reviews
Seems like a good platform to start from! 👍😁😎✌️
I had my eye on those for awhile. I feel much better going for it now. Great video 👍🏾

possible to push out the bushing and fit ball races to the planarity gear maybe ?
The transmission looks sweet
I wanna see were you take this. I might need to pick 1 up for myself....
I elected not to cut the body for the rear shock towers. Instead I cantilevered the shocks, and 3d printed a battery tray that sits lower in the frame. For mounting the body I used magnets. Doing so gave it a more realistic look.
Very good video, this chassis already comes with the axles as you presented it in the video?
Seems like injora has stepped up their quality on parts.
my front unis snapped on both sides of my injora axles hope they updated those on ur rig man

Since the center plate has an scx10ii bolt pattern, maybe you could just install the simple 3 gear trans and ditch the 2 speed setup?
Joe I hope you're bringing some Hood latches for the scx 6 at the BTC
Will that transfer case work by just flipping it over upside down to get OverDrive to work?
Awesome vid as usual 💪🏾💪🏾
Nice review. Thanks
How well do think that body would fit on the Vanquish Phoenix I just got ? Thank you
Ihave a question please. What is the size and thickness of the washer that goes between the motor and the planetary, please. Mine came without. Seller won't help.
Will the RC4WD trail finder 2 Toyota body fit on this chassis?
Is it better than scx iii kit base camp? Thanks!

They should be an ar44 based ring and pinion, the axles are almost the same as a pro44 from ssd
Looks okay. i don't see the advantage of a motor being that far forward outside of looks for the scale aspect.
