Are those the 1800's I just ordered from Amazon to replace my ancient Lawn Genie spray nozzles? Which adjustable spray nozzles have a better track record in your experience?
The mp rotator are finicky though, considering it's all plastic inside the nozzle. If they are put in a head set below grade, they won't last long. To grade, they can last awhile but not nearly as long as standard nozzles
@@303sprinklers Mayby we have different soil in Australia - I’ve rarely had an issue with them and have used them for 20 years. I have them at my own house for the last 6-7 years with no issues probably changed 2-3 heads in that time.
Hunter has so much better quality nozzles. Though I do prefer the Rainbird fixed nozzles, the others are terrible. Even Rainbirds R-Van nozzles are not good.
Agreed. The hunter VAN nozzles are much more robust. MP rotator, rainbird rotary, and Toro precision high efficiency nozzles are fantastic... INITIALLY. however, due to all the plastic parts they wear out prematurely compared to standard nozzles.
@@303sprinklers Yep. I have seen a few MP Rotators wear out over time. Especially under heavy use and when ran off well systems. MP rotators seem to be the best at limiting water pressure on a zone, because I have a zone with 7 MP2000's and they can run while the washing machine and dishwasher are running, compared to the Rainbird fixed nozzles.
@@washingandmowing15 MP and Toro precision are fantastic for root constrictions where there's enough gpm to push half of what should be, so, of I can squeeze 6-8 gpm, Toro precision is legit. However, too many homeowners and techs that don't understand precipitation rate, mix them with standard nozzles on the same zone. Best practice, I've found, is that I tell my clients the pros and cons and make sure they expect to swap out 2-3 nozzles every other year
Love my Hunter MP Rotators!!

Agreed! K rain actually makes some pretty decent ones. The Rainbird ones always cause issues. i mainly use Hunter MP Rotators.

I’ve been having this problem lately it’s so frustrating! I’m going to try using Hunters from now on.
It's frustrating because the RB has superior spray pattern but it's so finicky and chinsy- what's the point?
Thank you.

Those are HE VANs. They suck! Get the regular VANs better.
