There's a recipe on the Hershey dark cocoa for a cake similar to yours, but i've never been able to get it perfect. It ends up more like fudge. Still good, but not cakey. Thanks for sharing! OK, so first things first: I'm not GF. But a friend is. So, I've been on the hunt for a GF chocolate cake that was up to my standards. And, this cake checked all the boxes--it is simply wonderful. After I tried another youtube recipe with store-bought GF flour that rendered the cake somewhere between a gritty pancake and a flat brownie with a really crazy aftertaste, I finally threw in the towel and made Kim's GF Flour mix that was required for this cake. It has such a rich taste and satisfying mouth-feel--not a bit of grit anywhere. I will be passing along this recipe and website at the birthday party I'm attending with this cake in tow. I plan on using a Italian Meringue buttercream frosting, which is my go-to frosting. Thank you so much for this recipe. It will be my go-to now that I have made a metric tonne of the Flour Mix! 😆

Ok I've had other gluten free cake and I just made your recipe ( minus the ganache) and it's truly amazing!! 😁 Can't tell it's gluten free not gritty at all very smooth! 👍

I love how your cake looks! We have always had homemade cakes in our family for every occasion and it looks so homey and delicious- exactly how a cake should look to me. I really want to try your chocolate cake recipe - I have missed soft chocolate cake since going gluten free. Chocolate and coffee are a match made in Heaven and I always add coffee or espresso powder to chocolate desserts.

I don't think I would mix them, unfortunately. You could try, but it may lead to a tough cake.
