on repeat, all day, every day. I never thought the day would come that an album would finally dethrone Augment by Erra as my favourite album of all time. absolutely insane work, and some of these tracks hit so much harder now.

masterclass by Daniel Furnari on this album. The guitarwork of Polaris gets so much credit and rightfully so but for me Dan steals the show on the kit - his creativity is unmatched

Guess its gonna be a four way tie for 1st this year. Heavener, the death we seek, fatalism, and superbloom. This year has been something truly special for metalcore. Also, the architects comparison is spot on. Polaris was touring with them for holy hell and now it's gonna be a parallel with the tragedy of Ryan's passing.

This is a slow burner. I wasn’t into the singles, when they came out. I recently listened to the album from start to finish for the first time. Only one song stuck out to me: The Crossfire. The rest I wrote it off as OK. I clicked on this video, because I wanted your reaction to The Crossfire. And to be honest, I felt the whole album much more this time. More songs were touching me. Dissipate is sooo good. So, thank you for posting the whole reaction. I found a new appreciation for this album. I will give it a second chance. Heavener + The Death We Seek are still in the top 2 spots, but this might be #3 soon. I love that there are 3 bands right now, that put out great reords (I am definitely an album guy.) The last 2-3 years were extremely great for my taste of music.

From then on I kept up with them. Fury was my first Metal/Metalcore song ever but This album Fatalism in my opinion is AOTY!!!!!!

interesting to hear different opinions about fatalism! i LOVE polaris and this album was incredible, though i’m really not a fan of the chorus for fault line- ironic that was the moment you said they’ve been stepping up with their choruses hahah but i do agree with that statement! the crossfire is without a doubt my favourite, followed very closely by parasite. absolute bangers 💪💪

FINIALLY someone else mentions Parasites. It’s so underrated and under appreciated when imo it’s the hardest and most powerful of the album. The whole thing is just RAGE RAGE RAGE. No one can deny its certainly different to the others

God, this album is mixed terribly. How do you listen to those drums, as a drummer, and NOT ask the mixing engineer to dial back the parallell compression by like 50%.
Not gonna comment on the uninsipired songwriting in depth, because for some reason a lot of people like this album and wanna defend it.
