They need to produce units that actually give you the capacity claimed...not 80%! I bought a 300ah LiFeP04 battery for 1000 bucks that has a capacity of 3.8 kwh. A solar charge controller, plug in charger, and 2000w AC inverter and wiring altogether cost another 700. It easily produces well over 3000 wh for my small air conditioner. I never run the battery dead though and stop at 3000 when I use the wall charger before storms.

I'm an American expat living in the Philippines and after spending 14+ hours in the dark and without aircon due to a recent typhoon, I decided to invest in the Ecoflow Delta 2 max and an extra smart battery and transfer switch. I just had a licensed Filipino electrician install the transfer switch and my wife and I now have peace of mind in our small apartment in case we lose power again, which happens quite frequently actually. My wife and have been looking at a lot of different solar generators but the cost right now is high especially on a fixed income. But you do provide very well done information on these units. I'm definitely a fan of EcoFlow. I have the River Pro with a spare battery and a Delta 1000. I'd love to have the higher power of the Delta 2 Max, but for the price I went with units that would cover my basic needs. I have a Generac whole house 22k generator and a Honda 2200 inverter generator, but both are limited to fuel on hand and best used for outages that last for days or weeks rather than for months.
Just got me a Delta 2 recently. It's awesome. What it can power is absolutely nuts. I got an old fridge and it pulls 125W/ average 118W when steady. PS4 and a 40inch TV just 70W.(Volume high and playing COD online)😂. Small rice cooker with 1 cup rice and using 1 bottle of water to wash rice 2x and rest to boil. High 338W but rice is done within 16 minutes. Basics are out the way. Everything else is just extra. Just know I'll be better off than most. Plus I can have movie nights almost everyday if I want.😅. Just need to buy DVDs😢
Sounds good. 51 lbs might seem light to you, but wait until you get into your 70s! So even though the Anker 767 is heavier, the presence of the wheels makes me lean more in that direction. I'll see if I can find something around 50 lbs and do some lifting tests. Thanks for all of your work in this area.
Thank you so much for doing all this research and sharing it with us ! My family truly appreciates your efforts and commitment. Your videos have taught us a lot. We live in the Hemet area. Take car and Blessings to You and Your Family !!!🤗
I bought the Delta Max with extra batteries about a year ago. I've been waiting for the LiFePo4 model to supplement what I can already do. I can power most of my home with these.
I strongly agree. I'm actually considering buying this very model. I already own an EcoFlow River 600 MAX, which I've had for around two years now, and I'm kinda torn between waiting and saving up to go for The EcoFlow Delta Pro or going right now, for the Delta Max Version 2 instead. IMHO, it looks to me like the Delta Pro is probably the very pinnacle of the contemporary Solar Generator Market, while I think the Delta Max Version 2 hits the sweet spot in performance versus price.
You can't get 240v power from this thing so you can't run a well pump. Bluetti has a solution for that if you buy 2 EP-500 units, but they're expensive... But so is being without water or power in a long term emergency.
Good review 👍 Ecoflow makes some awesome products. I picked up a Delta a few years ago for emergencies. I encourage every serious prepper to get a good solar generator, to have that same peace of mind..
Owning the Delta is a smart choice. It's highly recommended that serious preppers have a reliable solar generator for peace of mind. Enjoy your Delta HiSteve!☺
Just purchased as part of my larger hurricane “grid down” power redundancy, including x2 Honda EU2200 and. River pro. The combination of the EF Delta 2 Max with the Hondas should give a reasonable extension of my limited gasoline supply. Thank you for the review, helped influence my decision
what happens if it's cloudy and nothing much for sun, then what? Most power outages unless planned by the power companies are due to storms. If you have a week of cloudy bad weather how well will this work with solar panels? Or is the fossil fuel generator the better choice for a guaranteed source of power?
Thanks for the video. I have been looking at solar power for my house for a little while now but like everything else there are so many out there it’s hard to choose one. Reviews like this help with the decision.
Exactly what I've been waiting for. Ecoflow with 2000w + inverter and storage, lifepo4 battery, and under $2000. Their going to put bluetti out of business.
Thank you for pointing out that this model can power a portable AC! Their surges are pretty insane and with a surge rating of 4800W (and 3400W continuous) this should power the majority of them, especially the ones with inverter technology.
I looked at the link. Reasonable price & has a payment plan. 👍. Thanks for this video. I feel like the “prepping” videos make me feel I’m being proactive. The “news” videos make me feel defeated at times. We need both, but this was refreshing 😊
How long would my oxygen concentrator run on a single charge, my concentrator uses 400 watts per hour. Trying to fond an emergency power supply for about 4-5 hours
I was looking for Reviews on this particular Model of EcoFlow. Thank you for your awesome Review, I am now going to purchase this Model. I have two Jackery Explorer Models, but I have heard so much good reviews about EcofFow.
I want to use a power station to power some computers, monitors etc and have them hooked up 24/7 with the power station having solar & ac power connected at the same time, all the time. This is being done strictly to help lower my electric bill. Assuming the unit has solar charging priority, can you get this unit or any unit to automatically have AC power kick in at say 20% battery power? The goal here is use as much solar power as possible but use AC power to insure the unit never has a full battery drain and shut off.
Oh no! A storm is here in Texas & will last for days. The power goes out & the Delta 2 Max (2048Wh) is running. After 14 hours it goes dead. I plug it the wall & nothing happens and it is too cloudy for solar panels. I have to get out my 9400W tri-fuel generator, connect it to natural gas, start it up and power my house and A/C (and maybe the EcoFlow). I really don't have an EcoFlow, but I do have the tri-fuel generator. I don't care about the noise, it blends in with my neighbors' generators. As a backup I have 600W of solar, with (1) 1408Wh & (2) 666Wh power stations and haven't paid over 38 cents/Wh.
A small part of me hates myself for now waiting for this product to come out before pulling the trigger on my Delta Max. It is what it is and the Delta Max is a beast in its own. I'm not planning on running it down as I use it for camping and emergency situations. But man, this Delta 2 Max is a game changer on the market. If I was still looking for a unit, the Delta 2 max is a no brainer.
Anker 767 has a 30amp RV plug, EFD2Max does not. BUT EFD2Max has two solar inputs, Anker767 only one. I was going to purchase the A767 because of plug, but my 2500w gas gen doesn't have a RV plug and it powers the RV just fine with adapter. Now I lean toward the EFD2Max because of the two solar inputs. By tomorrow will someone else will muddy the decision even more? Ha.
Really? You can power your computer and a portable AC at the same time? How long will both of those run - just on the unit's battery? 30, 45 minutes? I'm seriously wanting to know. Also, what's the make and model of that AC and how many watts does that PC consume? Thanks
I just bought this solar generator for our home. Now I'm considering getting another one and having a setup to run the whole 1700 sq ft home. Do you think 2 of these units can do that? I have no knowledge of watts and amps and volts and am so confused! Thanks for your videos! They've helped me a lot!
What sold me on this was the ability to charge it (and keep it charged) via standard 120AC grid current, but when the power goes out , will keep my POE Reolink security cameras, Wifi, ham radios, computers and SimpliSafe alarms working. I am running a dedicated power supply to all of these using a "dead man's wire connection" with male plug from the 120VAC grid receptacle via a short wire connected to another live male plug. Right now, without a relay switch, in the event of a power failure, I have to manually unplug from the grid and plug it into the older solar battery unit I have. All of this because: When are you most at risk or burglers or home invasions? Ans: When the grid power is out!
Just brought one today but am waiting for it to be delivered. Must say I dont think I've seen a light on this model at all, so for the solar input, at least ecoflow could ov provided some plugs for the solar panels .
These would be great for a lot of people. I just wish the prices weren't so high! I started with a smaller Bluetti model and it didn't take long to realize that getting a LifePO4 battery was a better option for me.
I have the original Delta Max (w/ 1 spare battery) and I’m about to upgrade to the Delta 2 Max. The LiFePO battery & 2nd solar charging port make it a no brainer for me. Yes, it’s a very expensive upgrade, but the extra 2000 recharging cycles means that the new unit will easily last longer than a decade of hard use instead of 2-3 years tops.
So what do I tell an electrician I need installed and how much altogether is this set up gonna cost hopefully leaving it hands off after install with a little solar garden farm to supplement it. I use about 35 kWh per day according to Sense energy monitor. Oh yea does it work with that?
Thank you for your complete and unbiased reviews. I have a Bluetti starter that is 2 years old and it has helped ease my mind for my fish tanks but I need to upgrade for a more "household" load instead.
I have two bluetti EP 500s I wired together through a split phase adapter box into a sub panel I installed to provide 240 volt power so I can run just about anything in my house including my well pump.
I’ve got 2 Delta Pro’s and 2 Delta Max. I also have 2 solar panels and a solar blanket. Can you tell me what I need to convert my 2 Delta Pro’s to whole house generators? I know it can be done, I just don’t know how. I’m a single senior and I want to ensure I’m taking care of myself in a SHTF event.
By now hopefully you found your answer but if not, you can hire a licensed electrician to install a transfer switch and sub-panel for your whole house.
Can you use dual smart generator to charge delta 2 max by connecting it to smart connect? And also i still have my old delta 2 is it possible to connect it to the other smart connect? Not extra battery
where i feel they need to improve is the expand ability and the charge rate with solar. 6k seems like a lot but if you were to use this as a hole house backup it would only last a few hrs. I have a 17.5 kw multi fuel generator it has a 15 gal tank {gas} it will run at full capacity for 24 hrs under almost full load that is with my AC running on and off. for the price of these units i still have a hard time chewing on it. I think if you are going to go solar at this time the full house solar system still may be the only way to go. again for the efficiency for cost is just not enough They really need to find a way to get it closer to gas or nat gas efficiency, for the price. just my imput. I am def not saying that they dont work or for there intended use could be a good for prolonged use with a gas type unit combo.
I have an Ecoflow for emergencies after I lost all of the food in the refrigerator due to a power outage. I haven't needed it yet but I am actively looking for a second one for other appliances in case of an outage. Thank you.
I do have two of them, for that exact reason. I'm thinking about a third for other needs. I believe it will run a freezer for about 12 hrs and then (using the solar panels), alternate while one is charging. I want to have a back up plan.
Questions: Is an Internet connection required to operate the EcoFlow Delta 2 Max, or is it only needed for software updates and setting operational parameters? If I couldn’t operate my generator during an emergency event where the Internet is down, that would defeat the purpose of buying this equipment. Also, I understand the Power Station weighs about 51 pounds, how much do the Extra Batteries weigh? Thanks
@joe no you don't need the internet to use the delta 2 max or any of eccoflows units for that matter. The only time you need the internet is if your wanting to update the firmware, change the features of the unit such as charging speed, timeout settings or monitor the powerstation from a distance. Regular firmware updates aren't needed as long as the unit is working properly. I've only updated mine a few times since I've had them. Oh the extra battery for the delta 2 max weighs about 40 pounds I believe.
What does lack of use do to a solar generator? If I did not use for 6 months or year is there harm? I can maintain as needed to keep it healthy. I believe this is the one I have been waiting for and I would use for home emergencies. Generator and panel but what else do I need for set up? Thank You!
I thought the same way before but then I started to put money into an account automatically to build up a fund to buy things like this. It takes time but it was possible. Good luck 👍
My house is probably in a couple freezers and Olight. The water heater for my central air conditioning system I need at least 20 KW from my old house. I do agree it’s pretty handy thing to have and it’s not cheap. I also have a question about the charging cycles, when it says next number charges up to 80% does that really mean it or does it mean charging the battery to 80% every time it’s you that cycles ?I know that lithium ion technology will last long as if it’s charged at 80% and discharge to 20% I’m not sure about lithium iron phosphate batteries.
Thank you for this video. Could you tell me how long term storage of this item would adversely affect the battery life? Is this an item that must be topped off and cycled through continually to maintain peak efficiency or can it sit dormant until need arises?
Have you done any testing on solar generators for the complete home i understand that a lifestyle change will be involved however I want to get off grid while still being within grid limits I have lived off grid for many years and I don’t like not having control over my power needs
Question....do you have to use ecoflow solar panels or can coventional panels be connected? They only seem to offer portable panels which I'm not a fan of. Great video by the way, thank you!
@@leolightwork for me it's not so much the cost. Flexible portable panels are not appropriate for me. I live in a high snow load cold winter area. I'd like to permanently position might panels and have them be able to take the weather

Great video. I was wondering if you could tell me which 2 cables you use to connect the Delta 2 Max to your transfer switch ? I am planning to connect my Delta 2 Max to my transfer switch. Thanks
I hit my Delta 2 Max afew days ago. Works nicely. Yesterday, I had an electrician install a sub panel with a cable out the bottom for generator input function. This sub panel has the furnace, fridge and freezer circuits. I can flick the generator power breaker and switch to the Ecoflow. I can put up to 8 circuits but don't want to overload. I just want to run my furnace blower in winter and keep the food protected at all times. I can take care of the lights and cooking by other means. I had a licensed electrical company do it. Got the permit and the city (Calgary) inspector comes next Wednesday. This means a lot if a home insurance claim happens and they don't find a major DIY done without a permit and inspection. That and there is no way I'd do the solid, neat and tidy job this electrician did.
What type of Airflow is needed. Can I store in an enclosed space under a bed in a travel trailer? Would I be able to run a travel trailer ac with this?
X-boost does not increase wattage, it simply forces high power devices to use less by dynamically lowering the voltage (and without causing a brown-out, which is pretty cool). It won’t work with compressors, but is fantastic for anything with a heating element. Just understand that the heat generation will still be capped at 2400 watts, even if you plug in a 3000 watt heater. And +1 on combining an EcoFlow with a Honda. The 2200 is a perfect match as it can support the high speed (1800w) charge setting of Delta 2 Max. On cloudy days you can get a lot of charge by running the generator for just an hour.
ECOFLOW DELTA 2 Max 2400Wh suggest solar charge input 500 watts. My solar panels produce 60 VDC/10 amps to the breaker box. Can I safely input from the solar breaker box two XT60 cables into the two solar charge in-ports? Enjoyed your video, appreciate your help.

Can you possibly place it on a small cart or something if you have trouble with weights?
Dont let wheels sway you a trolly thingie ant hard to make.
Go for it and light up everything FU 46💡
Same here but since they are expensive I can’t get the Delta 2 max.
I appreciate your battery reviews and opinions, Kris. Ecoflow really does seem to have the most bang for your buck.
You can't get 240v power from this thing so you can't run a well pump. Bluetti has a solution for that if you buy 2 EP-500 units, but they're expensive... But so is being without water or power in a long term emergency.
Funny you say that do you own one or have you got the competition.

Woww I love this one, they keep getting better!! Can't wait to add to my prepping supplies. LOVE THE SPREAD SHEET!!!
It was your generator videos that first drew my attention to you via the algorithm. Your analysis kept me around though.
How long does it take to charge with solar only
Thanks for the video.
We’ll than it’s your lucky day buddy pal friend though personally I was looking for a free one 😉
And Jackery too…
Well......., EcoFlow likes to make good products.
@@EcoFlowTech can't argue with that.
Not likely unless you can get 240v power from them.
Thank you for pointing out that this model can power a portable AC! Their surges are pretty insane and with a surge rating of 4800W (and 3400W continuous) this should power the majority of them, especially the ones with inverter technology.
Thank for explaining the basics so we all can understand the technical points.
Impressive output for a small package 👍
I've been told the same.
🤔👍
I want to use a power station to power some computers, monitors etc and have them hooked up 24/7 with the power station having solar & ac power connected
at the same time, all the time.
LONG way to go!!!
Always know when you have made a spreadsheet, it is going to be an informative video.
Would this one be a good choice to backup a sump pump?
How fast will it charge with 110 w solar panel if good sun light
I just bought this and want to hook up a transfer switch. I saw you had a short yellow adapter cable. What is that do you have a link.
Thanks
Tim
Thanks
I'd love to put that ecoflow to work.
How long would it take for a full charge on a 400w solar panel? Please n thank u 😁 love ur videos 👏🏼
I just bought this solar generator for our home. Now I'm considering getting another one and having a setup to run the whole 1700 sq ft home. Do you think 2 of these units can do that? I have no knowledge of watts and amps and volts and am so confused! Thanks for your videos! They've helped me a lot!
Loved the EcoFlow delta 2 but now I want this
What sold me on this was the ability to charge it (and keep it charged) via standard 120AC grid current, but when the power goes out , will keep my POE Reolink security cameras, Wifi, ham radios, computers and SimpliSafe alarms working.
Using the 2 free solar panels, how long from 0% to full charge?
These would be great for a lot of people. I just wish the prices weren't so high! I started with a smaller Bluetti model and it didn't take long to realize that getting a LifePO4 battery was a better option for me.
if this unit is used seasonally how long would the batteries last,. are these good on the shelf batteries
I can't believe the amount of time and effort you put into your Videos. You would absolutely be welcomed in my Tribe of Survivalist Preparers.
I have 2 eco flow generators. The first one I got is the smallest one but I smartened up and got the bigger one!
Very nice. Must have for a prepper. Or at least an equivalent.
So what do I tell an electrician I need installed and how much altogether is this set up gonna cost hopefully leaving it hands off after install with a little solar garden farm to supplement it. I use about 35 kWh per day according to Sense energy monitor. Oh yea does it work with that?
Technology is wonderful when it works.. no complains here .. thanks
Thank you for your complete and unbiased reviews. I have a Bluetti starter that is 2 years old and it has helped ease my mind for my fish tanks but I need to upgrade for a more "household" load instead.
I believe you are thinking of going to the next level with EcoFlow For your upgrade.
Are all these units protected from an EMP or do you need to protect them in a faraday cage until you need them?
Love my eco flow delta pros. Yes they are pricey BUT they work
where i feel they need to improve is the expand ability and the charge rate with solar.
Thanks for the info!
Nice review, I have the Delta Max 2000 and is pretty happy with it, although its the biggest power station I own. Thanks for a great review again.
Nice video. How did you make this work with your transfer switch without using a neutral ground bonding plug? Thanks.
What does lack of use do to a solar generator? If I did not use for 6 months or year is there harm? I can maintain as needed to keep it healthy.
I believe this is the one I have been waiting for and I would use for home emergencies. Generator and panel but what else do I need for set up? Thank You!
Leave it topped off at 80% if you plan to store it. Don’t store it at 100%. That will prolong the life of the battery. Besides that your good.
Would love one, but there is no way I can ever afford one. Thank you for all your doing for us. Stay safe.
I thought the same way before but then I started to put money into an account automatically to build up a fund to buy things like this. It takes time but it was possible.
Good luck 👍
Thank you for this great review, I think I am going to get this Ecoflow Delta 2 max
U plugged everything in and drained it to zero. How long did that take?
Thank you for this. Trying to find my footing in solar & this helps tremendously.
Question....do you have to use ecoflow solar panels or can coventional panels be connected? They only seem to offer portable panels which I'm not a fan of. Great video by the way, thank you!
Wondering the same thing. It would be nice to save some money on panels from another brand if possible.
@@leolightwork for me it's not so much the cost. Flexible portable panels are not appropriate for me. I live in a high snow load cold winter area. I'd like to permanently position might panels and have them be able to take the weather
Question. First thanks for another great educational video. So how does this stack against Anker 767 now that the software updates came out? Thank you
i just watched dr hobo's review on this battery and the UPS function on his unit worked flawlessly. his laptop didn't power down when the power was cut. i have the delta 2 pro and it will drop in power... unfortunate
Great video. I was wondering if you could tell me which 2 cables you use to connect the Delta 2 Max to your transfer switch ? I am planning to connect my Delta 2 Max to my transfer switch. Thanks
Question regarding the DELTA 2 Max. Can you turn off the WiFi/Bluetooth completely and still use it as normal? Thanks.
Thank you!!!! Love the Eco Flows!
❤
Thanks for a thorough review.
Seems like the one I’ve been looking for.
I don’t remember hearing how long it ran at 75% before it went dead? Did you record the time?
Can you mix match the extra batteries? For example, delta max connecting it with the delta 2 extra battery?
Can I use Delta 2 max together with extra battery and smart generator connected to dc port at the same time?
when the generator is fully charged either from ac or solar and is not being used does it automatically stop or do you have to cut it off?
I am impressed with the Eco Flow Delta 2 Max. I would really like to buy one but my husband is more interested in a generac.
Can't help you with that ,Maybe our awesome customer service will change his mind?😁
Hello. Are you using a 15 amp male to 30 amp female rv adapter cord?
How long does it take to recharge it using standard wall outlet 15amps?
If I buy an extra battery for the delta 2 max will it be compatible with my delta max 2000 ?
Thanks for the review.
I hope the fans are quieter than with the small Ecoflow Delta 2. As soon as you draw more than 100 watts of power, the fans are in continuous operation. I'm not particularly happy with the Delta2
What cable/adapter are you using to connect the eco flow to your breaker box?
