So for whom is the 30840005 (longer one)? Anyone who plays around with turbo, timing and/or is into drifting? I could not get any info on the web. Thanks a lot in advance.
@@WTFRCCars I wrote them an email and let's see what they say. I would have assumed as you say, but preferred to have a statement from them. Thx for the quick response. :)
Was looking for this answer too which is how I found this video :) The description on the product doesn't make it clear that it's agnostic of polarity in terms of the wiring, just that it can tolerate being reverse voltaged. I'd just assumed there would have been a preferred way around for the polarity so it can work its magic
Capacitor s do give bit more punch aswell large Capacitor s charged on there own can start up a car so to large capacitor s is probably not good for esc as might over voltage it and over current it small 1600uf 850uf best
The capacitors fitted in a circuit this way cannot charge above the supplied voltage so cannot over volt the esc. Caps of this size do not make any difference at all to punch they can't hold enough power they only smooth out the micro ripple in the supplied power from the battery, They cannot over current an esc as current is drawn not pushed so over current is not a thing that can ever happen no matter what size the caps are :)
My light controller lets make high frequency noise due to the esc. Could one cap pack help to reduce that?
That sounds like it's got coil whining from its step down transformer
I plugged in my battery backwards, if I install this will the esc work? The esc says it has reverse polarity protection .
Do you have the normal capacitors fitted ?
@@WTFRCCarsyes!!! 😢
@@WTFRCCarsdoes that mean it needs to be installed first for it to work?
No if the esc is not damaged then just removing the old damage caps will allow it to work
can this hobbywing capacitors be used for other esc brands other than hobbywing esc
Yes it will work with any esc :)
Doesn't it also stop you burning out your ESC if you connect the battery terminals the wrong way?
Nope you would need a larger diode on the esc to do that but then it would melt the connector on the battery :)
It says on the website it does??

So the smaller ones are aimed at stock class and longer ones for modified it that helps

It's in hobbywings site www.hobbywing.com/en/products/nonpolar-capacitor-package92
hai can i ask ? in non polar capasitor whitch one + and - both black cable, thx
There none polar as in there is no + or - they work any way round :)
@@WTFRCCars so non polar will replace the capasitor right.
@gameonly1549 yep yep they are caps
Thanks

Very informative vid as always.
And why should the wires be as short as possible? In my car they're about 100mm (4 inches) long...
The shorter the wire the better the capacitor packs work as the wire has resistance and you really want as little resistance as possible :)
