You're my new favourite techtuber/streamer. Love deep dives! Oh and I went the AMD route this time, got the ROG X870E Hero and waiting for the 9800X3D ;)

Z890 Tomahawk has 6 layer pcb vs 8 layer on X870. This is reversed on Gigabyte Pro and Elite

4:06:50 That's a really good catch on the WIFI7 - it blows my mind MB makers (namely ASUS and Gigabyte) are doing this, as WIFI7 cards are already rather cheap. You did forget to count the 4 lanes on SATA on those boards, but yeah you can fit a full 4 lane M.2 in the empty lanes of the Master (or they could have made the bottom PCIE slot 4x4 rather than the super cost-cut 3x1 lol), a $600 board, its bonkers.

I’m looking forward to your 8700G build! I have a barebones Minisforum PC and the 8700G to marry sometime soon. Hope you feel better soon.

Regarding TPM, you can disable it on the CPU / Mobo and still install and use Windows 11. You need to bypass the initial TPM check that the Windows 11 installer performs prior to allowing installation. Quite a few third-party programs used for making USB boot media have Secure Boot / TPM, as well as RAM and hardware requirement bypassing built in that you can choose to enable.

When you say things like "The Great Arm War," I am envisioning a bunch of human arms flying around in space, shooting lasers at each other.
