I'm still struggling but I am getting better. I definitely find it hard to transition between playing Warzone and Arena game types. It throws me off when I bounce back and forth. Just wanted to take a quick second to say thanks, your videos are helping me a ton. I was very heavy into Halo 2 but ended up having twins so pretty much had to stop playing. Now the kids are older and I am getting to play again (with them) only now I suck. After watching your videos and using different tactics than Halo 2 I am kicking ass again

Sure! I can try to make more tips for newer players! But callout videos are tough because they change from player to player there is always so much debate over which are the correct ones now.
Also, make up ur own callouts. For example, in Coliseum, where the sniper spawns is technically called Green tower. However, my fire team just calls it sniper spawn. For fathom, there is a callout for blue street and blue yard, but my friends just call the entire area blue boxes
Good stuff. Not having played since Halo 3, I have seen that things have changed. I've used tips like staying close to my teammates and my KD ratio hasn't got much better but I am helping my teammates out more.
While watching this I was going to add you should always play with a full team, and he mentioned play with friends near the end. Very important, ever since H2 I have almost exclusively played with a full team. One random player can destroy everything. This becomes particularly important if your team has setups that you have practiced. That random person will through off enemy spawns and just cause chaos.

I am now not sucking all the time and often in the top half of the leader board, so thanks heaps. I think the biggest tip was sticking with your team, made a huge difference. Your tips help sticking with teammates and cleaning up their kills sticking to the high ground using the pistol although people still spam the assault rifle although I disagree on the high sensitivity I tend to aim fairly poorly with higher sensitivity while lower sensitivity helps me a lot I stick with 0.5 and aggressive settings on my elite controller lower settings help my aim although it hinders me to turn around fast enough but I went from a 37 to a 50 accuracy avg on team slayer don't know if that's good but it's a huge improvement
I am one of them players that pushes lone wolf style wayy too often because of my CoD background. But i watched all your videos and will be aiming to improve my whole gameplay. Bumper Jumper might be a tough change though because i got used to my scuf paddles having thruster.. But i noticed a good amount of pros or good players play with BJ. Earned a sub ; )

I'm used to playing recon, but I noticed sometimes while playing older Halos that I'd be a bit slower to melee the other guy because of having to press B, and ended up getting clobbered instead. Because it didn't happen too often, I didn't feel like changing the controls. But I guess this time, once I get the console and game, I'll play the campaign on Bumper Jumper and get used to it.

This is the First Halo I played Multiplayer on. I agree on what you say though I mean strafing could be hard to do well definitely like that. Teamwork seems SO important but everyone seems so selfish and anti-teamwork where they care about their own score and no one elses. And its so hard to play with other people that communicate (definitely good ones) XD
great video as always, something funny that happens to me is that i normally get all my kills at the beggining of the match i get 6 or 7 with no deaths or only 1 and from there on i only go to 15 but with a lot of deaths im starting to think is mental but who knows

I have to disagree somewhat on the subject of Smart Scope. While it is a good idea to be proficient without Smart Scope, I think that it should be used whenever it is beneficial. Also, I would think having it on LT would improve accuracy, as you don't have to push down on your looking sick and potentially impede your aim.
+Ging3rman117 I made a video on this it compares Hell Jumper button layout to Bumper Jumper. Smart scope on the LT can become a crutch. I found I was using it far too often.

I learned how halo5 was much more difficult the hard way. I was great at halo reach and 4. But when I jumped into halo 5 my!tiplayer I got wrecked over and over. Even now my k/d is still neg but I've improved tenfold due to lots of practice and these tips/ tricks vids. Thanks abumch!

good stuff man - any tips for being more consistent. I find I'm a 6 or 8 kill player then have a couple 15-18 kill games. I'm like sweet...I'm getting better then the next match I'm back to 6 kills again.

Random question: Have you made much use of the boltshot? If so, what has been your tactic? I hadn't done much with it because of how much I disliked it in the past but in Halo 5 it seems like it might have value.
it's good at long range because of the ability to lock on. but once you get outside the range where it can lock on it becomes utterly useless. I think it's best used by people who have poor aim. honestly I use it when I'm playing late at night and I'm tired. my aim is terrible if I'm tired so the boltshot allows me to get more kills. but just know that the pistol is faster.
loved the video but the only thing I would add is how to lead with your grenade throws I cant even begin to count how many engagements have ended poorly because of one bad grenade throw
This halo is definitely different, I seem to have times where I do amazing... And others not so much. I think it really just depends on how well your team performs. Do you think they will add more team dependent game types or ones a bit more independent?

nice tutorial. the last game i played was halo before i stopped playing games period, which was over ten years ago. Due to so much stress, i had no way to deal with it so i figured what the hell so i went and got the 1 tb master chief package. i was 110% new to multiplayer but i have progressed. I learned a few things you said (the hard way of course lol) and the other stuff, I'm definitely going to experiment with. and i like how you weren't a dick about it like most others are. also when you customize your spartan with helmet and armor, do the suits really fit their descriptions or is it more just for show?

As a team player, me and my fire team learned callouts for watching HCS pro league and other team players (Proximitty is a great one to watch).

BJ is defiantly worth it. If you get used to it you will be way more effective.

I learned how halo5 was much more difficult the hard way. I was great at halo reach and 4. But when I jumped into halo 5 my!tiplayer I got wrecked over and over. Even now my k/d is still neg but I've improved tenfold due to lots of practice and these tips/ tricks vids. Thanks abumch!

good stuff man - any tips for being more consistent. I find I'm a 6 or 8 kill player then have a couple 15-18 kill games. I'm like sweet...I'm getting better then the next match I'm back to 6 kills again.

Random question: Have you made much use of the boltshot? If so, what has been your tactic? I hadn't done much with it because of how much I disliked it in the past but in Halo 5 it seems like it might have value.
it's good at long range because of the ability to lock on. but once you get outside the range where it can lock on it becomes utterly useless. I think it's best used by people who have poor aim.
honestly I use it when I'm playing late at night and I'm tired. my aim is terrible if I'm tired so the boltshot allows me to get more kills. but just know that the pistol is faster.
Subbing, still don't have an XOne(will get one when I can though), but I found your videos to be enjoyable so I'll be staying here for a while ^^

This halo is definitely different, I seem to have times where I do amazing... And others not so much. I think it really just depends on how well your team performs. Do you think they will add more team dependent game types or ones a bit more independent?

nice tutorial. the last game i played was halo before i stopped playing games period, which was over ten years ago. Due to so much stress, i had no way to deal with it so i figured what the hell so i went and got the 1 tb master chief package. i was 110% new to multiplayer but i have progressed. I learned a few things you said (the hard way of course lol) and the other stuff, I'm definitely going to experiment with. and i like how you weren't a dick about it like most others are. also when you customize your spartan with helmet and armor, do the suits really fit their descriptions or is it more just for show?
