Awesome!! Congrats on embarking on this fun journey on your own! You can do it. After all, that's how I learned to sew, too! Are you receiving my sewing challenge emails? If not, you should join! www.cucicucicoo.com/learn-to-sew-online-sewing-challenge/

Why not just measure that extra centimeters that you want and make marks and then make solid line following pant leg ? Just wondering is this for people who may not have sewing tools ?

Sorry, but I'm not sure I follow you. Do you mean, why do I first trace along the pant leg and then after add the extra cm for seam allowance, hems and waistband? I do it like that so that you can trace the leg faster and more precisely while holding the fabric in place. Then it's easy enough to add the seam allowances afterwards. You don't need any specific sewing tools for this. I usually just eyeball it for the seam allowance and you can use a regular ruler for the hems and waistband.

Please use any color beside dark blues , black or to dark material to demostrate how to do things. Why do you use dark color?

Yes, you're absolutely right that it's difficult to see the different layers and seams on the black fabric. The reason, though, that I used a dark color in this case was because my son didn't have light colored pants and this was the pair that fit him well and that I wanted to replicate.
