I had a case similar on the Ally, and it made the device very hot. The Ally X runs colder, but I’m still a little scared of trying something like this again. After watching this video though, looking at the quality and the low price, ordered one to try it!
idk why my ocd always ruins things but if you pause at 4:11 and look at the top part of the case & how it lines up with the bezel of the screen T.T. I mean for the price it still looks amazing and all other portions of the fit look great!! Just reminded me of a cheaper ipad case i ordered a while back that at first fit like a glove an then became a little loosey goosey, ty for showing this off i am absolutely tempted!! edit : ok sooo this is why you dont pause the video and type a comment lol. you literally nailed my one issue seconds after i hit play lol. this is why i love your content, you call it like you see it. yes your feeding the hype chain but your being honest while doing so! cheers!
ordered mine (power bank combo) also on September 8, 2024. Cannot wait for it to get here @7:52 I think it is fair to say you left out the other items you get that makes the dbrand $75 USD. You get a microfiber cloth, a front skin of your choice and thumb stick grips. Even though Dbrand says free shipping I believe shipping it from Toronto, Ontario, Canada is absorbed in that $75.
I'm personally waiting for the Skull & Co since i loved that on my original ROG. I do question though why you would talk about that lip not covering the front as if the fit isn't correct but decide to ''fix'' it after the video. Why? It's a review. We as the audience should know whether it's a bad fit because it just doesn't fit right or if it's not put on correctly.
@@mistermars9534 100% can't wait for the skull & co. I wouldn't call this a review, I literally state at the beginning I just received it minutes prior to filming. A review, in my opinion, requires time and testing/thought on what could be done better etc. I'd call this a first look. I intend to pin a comment and do a revised video on my extended use, likely in the comparison to the skull & co video.
Great video as always. I was deciding between this and the dbrand killswitch. I wish spigen made the thin fit kickstand case for the Ally x. I had it on my steam Oled. By far my favorite case.
Not that I watch other ally x videos cos I wouldn’t do that. If you can warm the case up you can manipulate that top section to pull it over to fit tight (apparently) Nice video (again) I might wait for S&Co too..

I'm from UK and I place an order for kill swich case for asus rog ally x debrand and it cost me the full set with skin, hard case, thumb for the joystick a total of £49.52 not over £100 how you said. But nice video and thank you to bring a new case competitor for asus rog ally x
Is the Jsaux 6-in-1 docking hub not compatible with this? The Steam Deck version of the mod case lets you attach a docking hub on the back for hdmi and more ports, is this not compatible with the same accessories? The attachment slot seems to be in a different position so maybe not?
I’ve ordered the killswitch with 20% discount but since Jsaux one came out, I’ve been wondering if should cancel the order and save some money to go for this. The top part of Jsaux not fitting snugly is also what some redditers commented but some says no issue so not sure if it’s inconsistency in their production quality or what. Somehow I want to keep the killswitch order as I know that will definitely fit very well and is also well made
If dbrand isn't costed me arms and legs (which triple the amount on JSAUX to deliver to Malaysia), I would go for it but right now my choice is JSAUX one definitely
dbrand uses higher quality materials but only has a kickstand. I value the modular customizability of the jsaux case and it is SO much cheaper. So I much prefer the jsaux case.
Pretty shocking that they don't supply you with one for such an expensive premium product... but then this is Asus were talking about, King of the price gougers when it comes to PC tech.
My ally is garbage after 3 months and so is Asus and there customer service they are disgusting they want blacklisting from selling anything. Gaslighting on gamers nexus they haven't changed atal.
