I don’t know why some of u are just soo bitter , soo many people claim the hellcat can’t smoke a stock Bmw m4 in a drag race and he decided to prove them wrong with an actual race which he did. We all know hellcats are on the heavy side plus it’s a rear wheel drive despite the horsepower it makes ,so If u decide to tune that m4 then yes its definitely going to be fast same thing with the hellcat plus Bmw horsepower is underrated . yea i mean that's really impressive. but how is he able to get that hellcat to run consistent 10.7s??? is it really stock? do slicks make the difference like that? throttle house has a video with an M5 smoking a demon. so this doesn't make sense. is will motivation purposely losing?? the M4 has over 500hp, is lighter and has AWD. all advantages that should help it win despite being down 294hp. doesn't make sense. it's not adding up. i'm a fan of both btw.
People just don't understand what happens when a Hellcat gets traction. Hopefully Will will finally underatand how much more he would enjoy the Redeye with just a proper tire in the rear.

Everyone knows what 800 Hp can do when it grips. It’s just simple physics. But the hate behind the hellcats and dodge in general is they’re so heavy, can’t get traction, and just suck at handling. MotorEnvy put it best: “the redeye is a one trick pony”. You put these beasts on a street and it’s all over for the cat. I’m not a hellcat or bmw guy so I’m just speaking objectively. That’s why dodges do better in rolls but you see Awd q50’s dumpstering on hellcats on the street bc they just cannot hook to save their life.

It’s a prepped track I’m pretty sure if G 80s on 20-35 old tires can hook and grip and run 9.12 at the track it’s different on the street

I remember back in the day when you had a Redeye the same color. It ran a 10.65 on slicks in cool weather.

Because everybody claims mopars are slow but they need all these down pipes and upgraded turbos nitrous etc to beat stock mopars…. Don’t get me wrong a lot of clown mopar owners. I have a modded scat and hellcat but I cringe everytime I see one on the road with bumper guards.

I've had a Hellcat and now and M5 Comp... an M4 is out of its league stock for stock... Now go against a M5/8 Comp and it's a different story

M5 CS runs 10.5/10.6 stock… but is $50k more so BMW does have a car that can run with the redeye. Value wise the Hellcat is the better buy but who buys cars like this and keeps them stock.
These cars are meant for straight lines and NOTHING ELSE. M cars are more fun, more luxurious, yes more expensive but nonetheless all around better.
On the drag strip them red-eyes are no joke

@moir7438 You can tell you never driven a Redeye. Even at the track, you can have traction issues. The driver is the main ingredient for success. The car is cable, but not every driver is.

M4's turn extremely well if you're in to road course racing as well. You'll have to do quite a bit work to a hellcat to make it turn at the same level. However, Mopar/Dodge specialty cars are gems that everyone should keep in their garage because big V8 production will stop soon.

Was there a numpty behind the wheel of the M4? The 0-60 time of the stock M4 is 3.5 but that’s underclocked by BMW with people getting as low as 3 seconds
A hellcat red eye is basically a modded car people you can say it’s stock because it comes from the factory like that means stock yes but it is a high performance mod vehicle

Oh and as far as the longer studs in the rear. Most vehicles are a wider front axle track than in the rear. So with the rear more narrow but running the same size wheels on all 4 corners, wheel offsets are different. The wheel would be more tucked in on the rear, the offset pushes it out more and the studs will be longer to compensate. I might have missed something in there but that's mainly why the studs are longer in the rear. I'm not an engineer though LOL.
