For the older crowd, 40 and over. How and where would we apply? Thanks in advance and keep up the good work. Love to see you bringing out the Word as well. Keep enduring out there. Most High bless.
I am a third-year Cuban medical student. Studying this degree in my country has positive and negative aspects, due to the lack of resources, but we also have quality teaching focused on the clinical field
Thank you for watching Dena ❤️ Motivation has been ending me lately but I'm trying nowadays to adopt good habits little by little so I van feel proud of my progress no matter how small
@tmc1373 that depends on how you apply, honestly. Some programs select you based on high school/secondary school grades, and then you must take an entrance exam in basic sciences like biology, chemistry, and physics. For my scholarship, the prerequisites for my government were high passing grades in Advanced Proficiency Level (CAPE - the Caribbean's equivalent to Cambridge exams) Biology, Chemistry, Physics/Math, which includes biochemistry, etc. I think if you apply directly to Cuba, you may require some sort of preuniversity proficiency in basic sciences apart from your high school/secondary school grades. This depends on the system of education in the country you come from.
I visited Cuba back in 2016 and fell in love. Obvi not bc of the gvmt, but the people, the food, the land. Just beautiful. I noticed the Bible verse in the beginning of your video. How has it been living there as a Christian? Also just started a yt channel but trying to figure out audio. What mic are you using? Thanks and subscribed!
I use a wireless USB lavalier microphone for mobile phones that I bought on Amazon since I filmed this with my Samsung phone. It is compatible for both Apple and Android. I will add the link to the description.
Being a christian in Cuba has been a wonderful experience. It gave me a new perspective on how I should live as a christian because Cubans have so little compared to what most people in other countries have, yet they give their whole self to serve God. They don't have all the fancy equipment that other countries have but they are extremely talented and do things to a high standard in church. It's humbling. There are challenges. The authorities are not very accommodating to religion but they push through.
@@lifewithjoy0 okay thank you, mind giving me your email address so that we can talk? the thing is I have them forms here with me and I'm submitting them in no time so I need more information about Cuba, so if you can, please just give me your email address so that i Can get in contact with you.
Joy, Cordial greetings from Bahia in Brazil. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the best in your studies. Please, I would like to get in touch with BLACK students who would not mind serving in Brazil.
Hi, i would like to know the name of this university, if you don't mind? I am currently searching for some good places to study medicine in Cuba and from this video, i can say i kinda like the environment. Also, i would like know the tuition? Thanks
Cuba is a good country to offer all the education for free..the rest of the world just blabla will try to come out there to open some charity to help out
If by holistic studies you mean alternative/natural medicine, we take a mandatory Natural and Traditional Medicine course twice within the 7 years of study (I can't remember how many hours but it was one of those extra classes that we had to take everyday for about 2-3 weeks last year). It also pops up I'm our exams sometimes even now.
As with any IMG (International Medical Gratuate) Cuban medical graduates are required to take and pass the US medical board exams to be qualified to work in the US. There is a list of Cuban medical schools accredited by the US medical board. You just need to do research before deciding to proceed with studies.
I m from pakistsn just clear my intermediate in medical science....what is the criteria of admission in medical college in kuba....what will b da fee per year along with hostel & finly can da student will b alowed for part time jobs for their fee ect.will waiting for ur reply.... stay blessed....!😂
No. They teach in Spanish and the text book and learning materials are in Spanish as well. They do often recommend reading text books in English because many of the best medical books are in English. But all studies are in Spanish. From what I've known and from experience, foreigners studying in Cuba must either take a Spanish course (most times provided by the university/institution) or do an exam to prove their proficiency in Spanish.
@@lifewithjoy0 yeah well you know insiders have better knowledge of their own accent than any one else. That's how I feel when people try to compare our Vincy accent to Jamaicans. Nothing alike! but they swear by it. Big up my Lucian fam!

How does this education differ from medical school in the USA?
Is there any hope for anybody over the age of 40 who wants to be a doctor in Cuba? Are there programs for older students?
Your age doesn't matter, some of our schoolmates are over 50 years old.

I'm from St. Lucia

is it true that you have to be under 25 to apply?
It depends on what country you are from. My country (St. Lucia) requires persons to be under 25 but others don't
Is there a requirement to practice in Cuba after you earn medical degree there?
From what I understand there is no such requirement. They go back to their respective countries and practice medicine.

It's mostly bad because the sanctions America has on it...which doesn't allow trade between America and Cuba and Cuba and other countries
All African and Caribbean countries suffer from corruption! It’s so saddening
