@tmc1373 that depends on how you apply, honestly. Some programs select you based on high school/secondary school grades, and then you must take an entrance exam in basic sciences like biology, chemistry, and physics. For my scholarship, the prerequisites for my government were high passing grades in Advanced Proficiency Level (CAPE - the Caribbean's equivalent to Cambridge exams) Biology, Chemistry, Physics/Math, which includes biochemistry, etc. I think if you apply directly to Cuba, you may require some sort of preuniversity proficiency in basic sciences apart from your high school/secondary school grades. This depends on the system of education in the country you come from.

Typical Christmas break is from Christmas Eve to one or two days after New Years day (23/24th December to 3rd/4th January) and summer usually starts between early or mid july (once you pass all exams) to the end of August/early September. Since Covid the school year schedule changed for some of the students who came after me where the school year starts in January and ends in November. On that schedule the summer vacation is different. However I think they have worked to get the school year back on track to start in September and end in July.

@Dr_Chizzy_Spikey in my time in Cuba I haven't met any Nigerians on scholarship. I assume that Cuba and Nigeria don't have the same agreement that most other countries have with Cuba but I'm not sure, someone can correct me if I'm wrong. I have met Nigerian students studying here, just not on scholarship.

It depends on what country you are from. My country (St. Lucia) requires persons to be under 25 but others don't

If by holistic studies you mean alternative/natural medicine, we take a mandatory Natural and Traditional Medicine course twice within the 7 years of study (I can't remember how many hours but it was one of those extra classes that we had to take everyday for about 2-3 weeks last year). It also pops up I'm our exams sometimes even now.

As with any IMG (International Medical Gratuate) Cuban medical graduates are required to take and pass the US medical board exams to be qualified to work in the US. There is a list of Cuban medical schools accredited by the US medical board. You just need to do research before deciding to proceed with studies.

I use a wireless USB lavalier microphone for mobile phones that I bought on Amazon since I filmed this with my Samsung phone. It is compatible for both Apple and Android. I will add the link to the description.

Being a christian in Cuba has been a wonderful experience. It gave me a new perspective on how I should live as a christian because Cubans have so little compared to what most people in other countries have, yet they give their whole self to serve God. They don't have all the fancy equipment that other countries have but they are extremely talented and do things to a high standard in church. It's humbling. There are challenges. The authorities are not very accommodating to religion but they push through.

I will love to make a video about that process because there are hundreds of CARICOM students here benefitting from scholarships. Stay tuned!
